And we’re all left wing compared to Genghis Khan; so what?
And we’re all left wing compared to Genghis Khan; so what?
I’ll plead relative ignorance on the state politics of most of Africa, South America, and Asia. Maybe the entire populace of Cambodia and Rwanda have the political stance of Elizabeth Warren, I don’t know.
See, that’s the thing about Gawker commenters: they have no sense of what the rest of the country (or world) is like. They thing they are the happy-medium, right in the middle, and that anyone right of them is rightwing. In reality, they are in the left-most 5% of the body politic, and are completely wrong about where…
I feel like you could make this list 100 deep with just RBs from the post-Ahman Green Packers and Shanahan era Broncos.
Some people have that kind of gall tho. A friend’s coworker apparently listened to porn through his headphones all day at work. Not even like, erotic stories. Actual porn.
*shrug* and some people are bored by anything Victorian. Diff’rent strokes.
It’s like a lot of things: we all nominally have “permission” to not do what our bosses ask, but that’s not really how employment works. I don’t know the inner workings of the Seahawks, obviously, but a typical quarterback’s job is more or less to run the plays they tell him to run.
You don’t really “agree” to calls as a player, though.
You misspelled foiiiine.
Wait. You honestly think, morally, intent doesn’t matter? That is a very bizarre philosophy to hold.
The latter is right on the money.
There is quite a large difference between committing a foul on purpose to keep him from grabbing a loose ball, and injuring someone on purpose.
Mankind, collectively. I can substitute “they” for Cambodians and similarly disposed developing nation residents if you’d prefer without it really changing the meaning. I didn’t intend to remove agency from Cambodians on the ground but perhaps my wording came off that way.
It helps actual Cambodian people sleep at night because they are alive and can own beds when they could be otherwise, so yes, I will take some degree of solace in the insufficient but real incremental gains we have made.
Prior to 1960, almost every single Cambodian made less than that living wage. The fact that this is not as true any more is a monumental achievement. Prior to 1960, the average Cambodian didn’t have access to healthcare, largely because they were too poor. Now they do, and this is also a monumental achievement. As…
You are severely underrated how poor these countries were not too long ago. The average Cambodian is 10 times wealthier in inflation adjusted terms than they were fifty years ago. Fifty years ago, the average Cambodian died at 41 years of age. Now the average Cambodian lives to be 70.
My company has (at least by rumor) contacted people suspected of giving negative reviews to “request” that they be taken down.
I believe the whole idea is that casual relationships ARE relationships.
Oh the caucasity.
