You could break the time frame a bit and introduce some things that are close to appropriate perhaps. A simple, single engine plane; slightly faster, more efficient automobiles; or semi-automatic handguns like the 1911. There was talk of a flying machine as part of a traveling demonstration at the end of RDR and RDR2

Yeah, I’d love to get together with a small group of people who just live their digital lives on the frontier without the “gaming” hostility.  It is the wild west, so I’d expect some hostility from a certain type of roleplayer, but at least it would hopefully be consistent with the world rather than just “jump and

- Wouldn’t fission rods be giving off a LOT of radiation? (Just looked it up, and Krypton is a element sometimes used in fission)

And yes Manchester Black is great and probably going to go full heel at some point sadly. He would have made a good counterpoint for James vigilantism if the show was still trying to tell that particular story.

I think the prime difference is that the Legends embrace that nature. They don’t even call themselves heroes and admit on many occasion that they screw things up...sometimes for the better though. The core tenant of the Legends series is that they are in fact messed up people.

I read most of the examples above as more of a stepdad situation rather than biological father. This one in particular is clear that is the case (emphasis added):

True, and I addressed that in a follow-up response to another comment. AI has the advantage of speed and knowing exactly what they did to break the game and can therefore implement it in their runs that much faster.

And that’s normal speedruns. TAS runs, which are still technically designed and programmed by humans, do this sort of thing to the same degree as the AI.

Instead of completing a variety of objectives, a machine-learning AI might try to take shortcuts that completely upend human beings’ understanding of how a game should be played.

True, but Charlie basically has no powers anymore, so she’s effectively human.  Makes sense to have the force field to help with the powers that four walls might not cover.

They wanted to splurge on the special effects.  That and I get the feeling that they preferred her not be behind glass the glass can impact the shots and they really wanted to drive home the “this is somebody with the face of someone we care about”.

That’s not strictly under Kemp either though.

Even that “Hey!” can be radically differently interpreted, so your mileage may vary.

Got a text to call back Wells Fargo about my account being locked...haven’t held an account with them for over five years.

- “Put those feelings into boxes, and those boxes into other boxes...” That’s not healthy.

More absurd than Mr. Game & Watch?  Wii Fit Trainer?  R.O.B?

I mean, there’s been a “gag” character in most fighting games, including many entries of Smash.  I do absolutely love it for completely indescribable reasons though.

Yeah, it really sucks that these two were the last reveals.  I don’t have a problem with them in general, but they’re just so damn unexciting to be the last big push before release...

This is the big one for me. It has basically allowed me to take on two larger games at once, but one is strictly the Switch while the other is primarily PC (and I recently dug out my 360 to finish RDR).

I got Syndicate as a gift on PC and I only started Odyssey because I was accepted into the Google Stream beta, but I haven’t actually bought any AC game for myself since Black Flag. I didn’t even make it off the starting island and I’ve pretty much given up on Odyssey.
