I actually finally got it to install. There was an issue with Wine and the GoG installers. I had to run it with the "/nogui" argument which seems to avoid whatever was causing the exception error.

Thank you. That makes sense, but I'm having issues installing on Wine with exception errors. Just need to figure that out.
It almost looks like they're working off an old version and forked from there. The menus just look fairly amateurish to me.
Yeah, I actually found this not long after posting that because the article made me curious. I'm not sure I like everything about the Line version. The idea is nice, but the polish isn't there like the regular version. The abilities are pretty passive too...
I want to get the version they have in Japan, Sonic Dash S. It has Eggman, but it also appears to have custom abilities for the different characters instead of them just being re-skins. I think it even has a leveling system.
DOSBox for WINDOWS
Right, but they use Windows DosBox. Why use Wine and Windows DosBox when I can just use it directly in Linux. I need to find a way to run the GoG game directly instead of through Windows.
I'm going to have to figure out how to get this running on my Linux distro. I could try Wine, but I've read that performance is crap for this game for some reason.
Regret is part of life. Everyone has flashes of regret and wish they didn't do something or did do something. People with kids will flippantly say they regret having them and people who don't have them will say they regret not having them.
Yeah, I have no complaints with the Wii U, but I've got a shit ton of complaints with developers. They are self-sabotaging their games on Wii U and then use that as justification to drop support. I swear, if I wasn't so sure corporate brass has their head so far up their own asses, I'd say somebody was paying them…
I have a Wii U and 360 so I could theoretically get it for either system, but if they cancel the Wii U version I'm not purchasing at all. I know graphically they would be close to the same since I won't have a PS4 or Xbone, but I'm not giving them my money if they screw over the Wii U...AGAIN!
If by MegaMan 8, you mean MegaMan X8, then yeah, I could see that.
As has been stated back when they released their FIRST pre-alpha footage while the Kickstarter was still running.
I agree. I have a son and he's far from being detrimental to my marriage (but I'm one of those nuts who got married at 22, so what do I know), but I do think it's nice that there isn't that sort of pressure on people who don't want kids.
Thankfully I fell in the other 33% of that statistic. The problem most couples have with having kids is that they don't realize going in that it's not about them anymore. You have to know going in that the kid(s) come first.
Holy shit! That's a killer assist trophy unless the beam has been nerfed to hell.
Yeah, even a tweak that minor (technically) would be something that could potentially change my mind regarding the redesigns.
Well, it was always awkward looking at his tights covered scrotum when he was crawling through tunnels in WW...
Exactly. Me and my wife were pooling assets prior to being married. I was helping pay off her credit cards like two years before we got married (and we were not even living together). Originally, she made more money than me because it took me a year out of college to get a job (got married 6 weeks after I graduated…
It was more a precaution than necessary, plus my prior experience with dual-booting was with another Windows version and it doesn't come with such tools. Having now installed and used Linux and having learned that those tools come with or are at the very least available on a Live USB, I will not bother using Windows…
