Was going to say the same, but apparently not…

SPOILERS

It's difficult to clarify without dropping a major spoiler…I'll try…

Loved the show all the way up to about five minutes from the end…at which point I was left raging at the screen… I hear they've started production on season two though so it's possible they may be able to fix it.

The Almighty Johnsons is (was?) a great show, but no, it's not him…

You may also want to check out The Wrong Mans if you can find it online,

Tortoise…turtles swim, tortoises are slow, just saying…

Simpsons Vice…

Great news…but is it too late to ask for a film to finish off Carnivale while they're at it…

That does sound vaguely familiar now that you mention it…almost tempted to go back and reread the books…

Funnily enough I was going to say something similar, but decided my post was getting a bit long and left it out. Every time he mentioned his "mom", with heavy emphasis on the o, in particular felt really out of place in the setting and I kept thinking to myself something like mother would have felt much more natural

It was very MTV/CW in tone and I've clearly forgotten more in the 20 odd years it's been since I read the books than I'd thought as nothing seemed that familiar about the story, but after watching the four episodes released I have to say it did grow on me. Kind of reminds me of early episodes of The 100 somehow.

You, Me and the Apocalypse was surprisingly good though I'm still not sure how I feel about how it ended…

In all honesty it's been so long since I read them that the details escape me, but I think there was something about fire… As I said before, they weren't exactly high literature, but they were far better than the show they were made into and could have made for decent enough TV.

As always…and I'm totally with you there. Will definitely be tuning in in the hopes that it is better than the reviewers are making out and if nothing else to show support for the genre.

I suppose you're right now that I think about it, cant really count the likes of Vikings and The Last Kingdom and they never have really followed up on the promise of GoT.

Still disappointed by what they did to Legend of the Seeker, the books weren't exactly high literature but they could have made a decent "adult" fantasy TV show.

The Brink was an excellent show and is well worth watching…it actually managed to make Jack Black watchable which says a lot.

Definitely, the TV movies were enjoyable enough and I went in expecting a replacement for Warehouse 13/Eureka which both managed to be fun while delivering a compelling universe/characters. What they've delivered makes those shows look like Fringe/Person of Interest in comparison.

Wanted to like it, but couldn't make it through three episodes…if you like cheese with your cheese you may do better.
