Agreed. Without criminal intent, an individual wouldn't be guilty of crime (in most countries). Maybe could be sued for negligence, though (no prison time).

Yep, it's hard to get excited about this. I don't think apple really does surprises anymore. Perhaps they will go through the New iPhone announcement quickly and then try to convince people that an iPad mini is a surprise. Like you, though, I hope I'm wrong.

Having just finished reading The Green Pearl, the second book in Jack Vance's Lyonesse trilogy, I would certainly count Vance as one skilled in the art of (Fantasy) dialogue. He does use archaic words and word meanings often, but does so in ways that make sense and aren't distracting.

Unfortunately, this might not be fake. I can imagine Apple doing this because anything wider than the current configuration and "average" thumbs won't be able to reach the other side. At the same time, looks weird, ugh. I hope it is fake.

Joint announcement between Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo: WiiU cancelled and Nintendo developing for new PC/Console platform that basically means consoles are smaller gaming pc's that plug into TV's for people who want to do that. Consoles will be made by everybody with the more powerful consoles offering more fps/

And with that, any desire to climb Everest that may have been holding on is now gone. I can wait in line for Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Even relaxed back on a couch, the pressure required on my forehead to get the optics into a good position for my eyes was too much, unfortunately.

Genius! I bought one of these but had to return it due to discomfort. If you can get it to fit comfortably, and you don't mind being able to barely make out pixels (it's only 720p), it is a pretty amazing device. Sort of like sitting in an IMAX theater. The 3D effect is also much better than you will be used to.

Ericsson T 16, T18 or T19, then Nokia 8210, then Sony Ericsson T68i, then Sony Ericsson T630, then Sony Ericsson Z525, then iPhone, then iPhone 3GS, then iPhone 4.

Nice! Although I don't fly very often anymore, breathing underwater is one of the skills I still have. I just remind myself that I am actually in bed and breath normally.

A few years ago, when I didn't have to get up early, I had lucid dreams in the morning hours almost everyday. It was fun to have some control over my dreams and at some point, I decided the logical thing to do was to teach myself to fly. So, over the next few months, anytime I realized I was dreaming I would try to

Please make sure you talk about PS3 Move implementation. Although the accuracy of Kinect gestures cannot possibly compete with that of Sony's glowstick, almost every article, youtube video, or review of this game so far fails to address gameplay with the Move. No one is talking about it! Don't get me wrong, I

Played for first time yesterday. Possibly my favorite game of all time and certainly the most moving. Not only beautiful visuals and music and story, but best co-op multiplayer component of any game I've ever played.

If you paid for the taco, they have your credit information. Stolen copter = expensive taco. And for would be thieves that didn't purchase the taco, the drone would know where it is when it senses being snatched or is shot down. Police can generally respond pretty quickly when they are called the very instant a

Last year, people were hoping for a retina iPad, but not demanding one. So when none came, the resulting disappointment was not widespread. In contrast, had there been no retina display this year, there would have been riots in the streets (or at least on the internet).

I too think that, if anything, the console market will merge with the PC market rather than disappear. I think this trend will begin with the next generation. Even If Sony and Microsoft aren't a part of it right away, a few other companies will jump in with some "TV gaming PCs", and we'll also start seeing some PC

I disagree. Just because I prefer the sound of vinyl on my hifi at home doesn't mean I don't like to listen to music in my car, on the bus, on a walk, or at the gym.

I'm disappointed in the comments general "can't do" attitude. You'd think there might be a little more support for challenging designs on a site like this. Not all good ideas are easy and cheap. Not to say that this would definitely work, but come on i09 readers, I thought we were long-term thinking people that
