It's not surprising that a 'baby boomer' would think that a song could help anything. A good song could help a career, and even radio playlists, but most people won't even notice.

It looks a lot like classic Hollywood costuming, say 1920's/1930's art deco; which may have been a modern take on ancient Egypt (King Tut's tomb was discovered in 1922).

There are so many great Prince songs that reaffirm something, and that is: Prince's best work was written and/or recorded between 1984 (post-Purple Rain) and 1989 (pre-Batdance). Prince has created incredible work from 1975-2014, but that 1984-1989 output is especially incredible.

B-sides

Sometimes It Snows In April has a similar feel to 4 The Tears In Your Eyes. Prince has many dozens of great songs that most people have never heard. Eventhe Prince single Besides are better than most other artists 'hits'.
