You weren't the only one. I just turned 8 when the 1st season came out. Season 2 w/Disco Tony was appreciably worse... But, in retrospect much of the second season is better than a lot of the TV SF that came after... BSG (especially BSG 1980), Buck Rogers (talk about a 2nd season letdown), Logan's Run, etc... etc...

Tangentially, I have a HTC One (M7) on VZ. They have deactivated the 'smart battery' function. So, I used Qualcomm's SnapDragon app for battery life.

They can clone 5 or 6 Larry Birds, like they did in that Bendy-Boo episode from Saturday Morning Fun Pit on Futurama!

As much as I like Mazdas, it's better than their 'smiley face'...
