Value Over Replacement
It’s probably more that they only have one other potential ball handler, virtually no outside shooting (six made per game by everyone else on the team), and the 23rd ranked bench in basketball.
Same thing with Penn State.
Baylor has committed yet another unforgivable atrocity: causing me to side with the Texas legislature.
It starts around 1:20:00
38 fucking triple doubles. Just shut the fuck up and give him the goddamn award you idiots.
And to think there are still many Baylor apologists. It boggles my mind. I really hope these bastards get nailed, because their appalling lack of compassion and forthrightness is sickening. And I honestly question whether they realize they are digging their own graves.
Fire them into the sun? Yes.
Oh wait, here’s one more: Westbrook has now led the Thunder back from 4th quarter deficits of 15 points or more there times this season. The rest of the NBA has done that once. Two of Russ’ three comebacks were on the road...and in the past three days.
It wasn’t; Oscar won the MVP a few years later. Oscar’s triple double season, Wilt Chamberlain averaged 50 points and more than 48 minutes a game. He didn’t win MVP either. Bill Russell did. (The award was voted on by players back then, for however that informs this outcome.)
After the first quarter:
Scoring doesn’t usually stagnate the offense, since that is kinda the point.
Houston’s going to win 8-10 more games than OKC and get busted out of the playoffs by San Antonio or Golden State. They’re not contenders. The “best player, best team” argument doesn’t apply here.
He shot over 50% from the field, I dont know how somebody can say he took too many shots when more than half fall. Unless they want to make the argument that him scoring so much stagnates the offense, but my God, have you seen who he’s playing with? LOL
57 on 40 shots isn’t that bad. As I’ve always understood it, if the number of shots is at (or around) the number of points, it’s a bad game. 17 more points than shots sounds pretty good to me.
“Think how good he’d be if they ran the triangle.” - Phil Jackson
People. Russell Westbrook is the dang MVP.
Coworkers, I don’t have the power to fire them but that won’t stop me trying to anyway.
The new Jacques Greene album is great, but, for my money, this is still his best song. I’d kill to hear this at an actual club.
Wiggle yer ass to this-
