I don’t know how to react to positive comments on the Internet...I think I’ll go lie down for a while.

exactly especially since PK’s are so weighted in the shooters favor at least in hockey the goalie has a chance most of the time.

BECAUSE IT HOT IN ARIZONA SO OLD PEOPLE GO TO ICE PLACE TO MAKE BODYS COOL AND WATCH TEAM GO

He didn’t score, but this is some similarly good shit from Patrik Laine last night:

This season I have seen more of the Lakers in highlight clips than ever before. Of course they are always on the receiving end of somebody else’s highlight.

If somebody’s around you and they ever say, ‘I will definitely  send my daughter to Baylor,’ you knock them right in the face.

My limited experience with top level athletics indicates that most of the people in power are terrible, awful humans. But in the light of recent events, one would hope Baylor would look for those who had some discretion.

Would you like a list? How long do I have?

This is why I do not run. Runners always die eventually.

100%! For now at least... This past draft (and world juniors)may have been an anomaly but American hockey talent is getting stronger. I spend a lot of time working in Canada and I had a guy in northern BC put it in perspective for me. Population of Canada, 35 million. Population of US, ~320 million.

Putting the White back in White Sox.

I sat courtside for that very match yesterday and was hoping Kyrgios would get a post for the sportsmanship he showed. It doesn’t seem like he enjoys the constant NICK NICK NICK NICKs that he gets from people. He did engage with a little girl who yelled go Celtics, though. I don’t what that means or if it even

The profile is borderline unreadable. This has nothing to do with the author and everything to do with the subject.

A classic reason not to use them...

Nope, I feel this way about all famous people. If people stopped giving a shit about them, we’d finally rid ourselves of the Mama Junes and the Cash Me Outsides and the Kardashians and the Tebows and anyone else in the spotlight of fame.

This is a Deadspin litmus test. All those who read something in The Ringer get their Deadspin street cred automatically revoked.

So, we ask, what does this profile make you think about Jim Nantz?

I think he’s a little tone deaf. Loving your Dad and raising money to fight Alzheimer’s are laudable things. Not using your singular position to fight racism and sexism at Augusta National or the indentured servitude practiced by NCAA-member schools, not so much.

It makes me think he’s probably they type of fellow who refuses to refill the Keurig when he’s done with it.

I think he’s the voice of white mediocrity, and thus an excellent symbol for how society as a whole works. Beyond that, he’s some old white guy who talks about sports on TV for a living, and thus IDGAF about him in any way.
