No offense to Kotaku, but a streamer sends like 2x-10x more traffic to a game than any article anywhere. This is a truth universally acknowledged by game developers — YouTube and Twitch now define gamer culture much more than publications. I wish it weren’t so, but it is.
I don’t respect their opinions — my problem is that other people do, and unfortunately I’m not the sole arbiter of what my work means — hostile homophobes have more influence, and people end up believing their (really simplistic, IMO) interpretation more.
