Less scam, more genius business model that charges a premium to make buying a car more like buying a toaster.

Am I the only one who watched this video and said, "WHY ARE THEY CRASHING SAABS??"

I'm having flashbacks to the 90s.

I'd like to see the laws changed to allow for more flexibility from small or specialized manufacturers. Mazda being forced into licensing hybrid technology and Aston being forced to rebadge a supermini just seems inefficient. Great for Toyota though, apparently.

I hate to be a buzzkill, but couldn't it just be a "retro" logos tie? If the Jags don't have a retro logo, pull a concept logo.

Exactly. The whole Skyactiv thing was Mazda's answer to hybrid powertrains. I have no idea how they'll make numbers 5 or 10 years down the line.

The biggest knock against Mazda until recently was poor fuel efficiency. The 2.0 and 2.5l engines they still use on some of their cars were below average when they were first available.

CAFE is this insane, 1800 page piece of legislation but it's written like all car companies are exactly the same.

Yes but we call them hipsters now.

Without reading the article (too much rage), this isn't even a little true. Even if you drive a super-efficient appliance, you're still probably able to do 0-60 in 10 seconds or less and you can still push it into the triple digits. This wasn't true of most cars 20, 30 years ago. I'd be willing to bet a Mazda3 or

I've got a 4 digit SteamID and a "registered on" date that predates the official release date. Is that worth anything any more?

I have a canker sore on my lip and I keep poking at it with my tongue but that's only making it worse! FUCK you NFL.

Yes.

I've been into gaming since I was a wee lad in the late 1980s. I played Command & Conquer: Red Alert online by directing my modem to dial a friend's modem in the mid 90s. I wasted hours of my life trying to play Quake II with my 33.6k modem.

Mercedes owners aren't exactly known for having more sense than money. Plus I'm guessing that, in most cases, the person building the car on the website isn't the one writing the check.

2 doors + 4 seats + FR layout + 50/50 weight distribution = comfortable enough to be a daily driver, cool enough to be a good enthusiast car. It's not difficult people.

I was riding in a car with my 80+ year old grandfather years ago. He needed to turn right into a parking lot, so he turned on his right turn signal. Except...after turning on the turn signal, he went by a parking lot entrance, through a 4-way intersection with traffic signals, and by another parking lot entrance

It's the same reason why Audi got sued over the Audi 5000. Throw in a 60 Minutes report full of misleading bullshit and you have people thinking they can get rich quick.
