I love this statement.

Former BMW owner or former 650 owner? I’m on my 3rd BMW each of which came from a different decade and I’ve had one issue due to a bad sensor, which was covered under warranty. BMWs (and most German luxo cars) are built very well with high-quality components. Things generally go wrong only when they aren’t maintained

Just use a little pee

I get that this is a nice car and all...and Go America I guess, but you’re eclipsing A6 3.0t territory. Why pay German money for a car that just isn’t quite all there? I’m not even an Audi guy and this beats a CTS V-Sport in nearly every category.

I really enjoy the show and love the detail of the restoration/fix, but I can never shake the subtle British arrogance. On episodes where an American car was featured (when it wasn’t an American show), Edd was always sure to quip little comments about, “dodgey American electrics”. I get that said cars had some

Millennials...

John...that you?

I’ve lived in Metro Detroit for most of my life, and I can assert one thing: people do not use turn signals because they don’t want to draw attention to their next move. The second a suspecting driver is made aware of a lane change, they will immediately speed up. It’s kind of like a game of connect 4.

Repo’ing a car is a lot easier than a house. Pick it up, put it on a lot, sell it.

That’s how you get a gun pulled on you, then get shot (and probably killed) while the other guy gets off on self defense.

Is anyone else thrown off by the comically small front, standard brakes with 20" wheels? It has the M sport package, which means it should come from the factory with the m sport brembo brakes. How are those dinky brakes possible from the factory?

Unless you can find a 5-speed e24, don’t waste your time. I owned an 88 US e24 automatic and it was kind of a dog. The only time it was any fun was on a windy road. It’s performance left much to be desired.

Huh? Why would you have to do that? There is most likely a pin on the ‘E-machine’ tensioner that will completely disengage it and allow for belt replacement. No engineer would design this so you’d have to remove the entire unit.

I agree with you, btw. I’m a german car fan myself, and I’ve driven the new Lincoln. It feels too soft, WAY over-assisted in every aspect and the interior leaves me wanting more. But different strokes for different folks. On the other hand, what if they went balls out and created an amazing luxury vehicle that rivaled

Is it? The S90 is louder, has worse steering and handling characteristics, and is exceptionally slower than the Continental. The only way the S90 has any sort of win over the Lincoln is the interior which, arguably, might be enough to sway me in the Volvo’s direction if I were shopping between the two for a full-sized

Can we define ‘success’ here?

Devoid of charm? Yes. Close to Detroit? Do you even map, bro?
Troy is 25 miles from downtown. Now I know you’re full of shit AND you haven’t visited or heard any news about Detroit in the last 5 years.

It sounds like you’re simply an apologist for mediocrity and laziness. Success is a byproduct of hard work and initiative. Period. I personally work with people that did oil changes for a living, went to community college for web design, and now easily make six figures in their early 30's. If you want it bad enough,
