yeah, i don’t buy the induced demand argument. Nobody’s gonna change their commute because they added an extra lane, and if it sucked they’d just go back to the old way.

HOT lanes (“Lexus Lanes”) really are just a way for rich people to skip traffic.

The problem in MoCo is that they NEED to take your house. The MoCo beltway is a HOT mess because it weaves around housing areas.

They also need to connect 28/Rt7 in VA to 200/270 in MD. The only way to do that is to take someone’s house. Public transportation you say? Still need to get it from MD to VA. Want to live in

and with the tax changes recently, the property tax might not be deductible anymore.
The fun part is when the furnace dies, and you have to shell out a few months of mortgage payments to fix it.

the problem I ran into is that there’s no easy way to tip. My bill for 2 people was like $45. I couldn’t use the full 56 and leave it as a tip. Had to pull out some cash to leave a tip.

I’m sure I get gas 10x as much as I go to an ATM.

Why? If you have the cash, why would I use a debit card over a Credit card? Know how many free flights I’ve gone on because I use a Credit card instead of a debit card?

Using a credit card has nothing to do with spending money you don’t have.

If you are a financially responsible person, you shouldn’t use a debit card for anything other than the ATM, and who uses cash these days anyway.
Using a CC gives you TONS OF benefits, basically 2% discount on everything.

? There are plenty of VR games that are not solitary. I’ve played games where I’m walking around with my friend, talking to other people. Totally forgot my friend was 20 miles away, because we could both see and talk and interact with each other.

It’s very common for one person to watch another person play games.

Even if you win, you had to drive 40k miles in one of those, so you already lost.

Another thing to mention about Long Term Care (LTC), is the impact it has on your spouse. My father has Alzheimer’s, and has had to move into a home. The costs of that are CRAZY. He cannot go on medicaid until he has exhausted all of the money my parents have saved for retirement. It seems like different states have

Anyone who thinks this is a NP has obviously never driven one.

I should post a picture of my GF post-scooter crash. Shutout to the GW Hospital ER crew, they did a great job stitching her lip back together.

Another article somewhere pointed out that the data limits haven’t increased in a while. Remember when the data cap of gmail increased faster than you could use it? That 15GB limit hasn’t increased since 2013.  People are going to have to start paying for data soon, if they haven’t already.

I saw my first pair of boobs on one of those CD roms.

Red/amber numbers - so it isn’t a flashlight at night. This is the most important feature of an alarm clock.

Google says it’s 10.6. Makes sense, since I don’t run it till it’s dry.

I hope the mileage gets better. It’s a great car.

This is actually a brilliant move.
When the gov shut down in 2013, anyone who had scheduled vacation got the vacation time back and got back pay as if they worked a normal day.
In this case, they’ll probably get the sick time back and have the day converted to a normal pay day. Genius.

Touring. We live in a cold area, so heated seats was a requirement. As someone else posted, the seats do suck. Even the upgraded Touring seats aren’t great.
No long highway trips yet, only city and suburban traffic stuff and we’re getting around 37. Rarely use sport mode. You have to select the mode every time you

Yeah. I was told that when I got mine. Driving it though... It's very similar to a cvt. It never seems like the engine is turning at the same speed as the car. Maybe under steady state highway cruising. There's no real tach, so it's hard to tell.
