I’ll volunteer my car if it means I get to expense rally wheels/tires and coilovers

I’ve always wanted to do rally. Never been to one. But it looks so damn cool. I’d love to also do it one day...just haven’t found the right car to thrash in that degree.

Dave...... is that you?????? I want to do an NHRA event!

Thanks for this, sometimes I feel like I’m in a tornado here with how quickly people are willing to spin their previously cherished beliefs around 180 degrees based on whether or not they agree with the loudest protests of the moment.

In the US the government can already, and regularly does, steal property from citizens every year via asset forfeiture.

Fiesta ST owner living in the Boston area (the aforementioned Waltham above) here. 99 times out of 100 the answer to all car questions is “Fiesta ST” in my opinion, and your logic about money saved is solid. Plus between dodging potholes and the sweeping, bendy nature of our roads, the Fiesta is a riot! Plus you can

Many reasons:

The filthy rich and their spawn are not “able to learn and be a better person.” They have been taught their entire lifetime that us poors are nothing of import. We are disposable. We are trash. They think in terms like “I can kill as many people as I like by poisoning their environment and only pay a small fine,” or,

Just FTR, if you post anti-union propoganda, even inadvertently, I’m dismissing your post.

About damn time! :)

Congratulations, Bubba Wallace!  Let me be the first!

Not supporting organized labor is what’s killing the things that you want the most. Things like a decent wage, healthcare, and pensions. Shit that my dad had and retired with and asks me why I don’t just get a job like he had. I’m almost 50 and have been fucked over decade after decade as the right continues to

Any track I get to drive on. Buttonwillow, Chuckwalla, and Willow Springs are not the best race tracks in the world, but they are the best race tracks to me because I’ve spent hours racing wheel-to-wheel on them. Tracks like SPA, Monza, Circuit du Sarthe, and Nürburgring are all legendary and far better, I’m sure. Som

So what you are saying is because it cannot be implemented everywhere, it shouldn’t be done? Of course it can’t work in Rural America. It’ll never work for my dairy farming ex-inlaws. But it doesn’t have to work there, mainly because it makes no sense. But we can still make it work where most of the country actually

“Cars are the best way to ___________.”

Definitely this, I commuted with my stick shift 300ZX for years. It was absolutely doable, but to me the purpose of a manual is fun. There is no enjoyment to be had sitting on I95 in my Z in rush hour stop and go traffic barely getting out of first gear. With modern automatics there aren’t even any efficiency benefits

We all know exactly why there aren’t more cameras on cop cars, and it’s the exact same reason bodycams are conveniently off whenever cops shoot another unarmed black kid.

Lootbox, Clothing aspect (no one cares), unlocking tiers of cars (that was a new low), “Mods”, and the homologation bullshit. Weird regulations to get cars to the correct classes. A certain car has an advantage for a reason, they were making up things just to fit categories.

Exactly. It’s the (unintentional?) genius of Democracy. Everyone is so handcuffed in this approach it’s difficult for any one person or faction to hijack the whole thing. The downside is it’s difficult to make sweeping change.

This is my point. You are either leaving a third of America unemployed, or the mega-corps are the only employers in the world. I’m not sure which movie has a worse ending.
