The point isn’t that we should stay in this pandemic mode forever, the point is that we should use the opportunity to make systemic improvements where possible instead of just reverting to the old status quo when the option for “normality” returns. The old normal was not perfect, and whatever the new normal is will

Careless errors I definitely know have been around for a long time - several editors and contributors have been open in the comments over the years about how they post first to get favorable clicks/metrics/etc and then edit right after posting. I can understand that being polarizing, but doesn’t bug me.

Bad

Worse” is subjective but no, I haven’t really noticed. I’ve been reading since 2011 and it’s always been leftwardly leaning.

It’s Jalopnik though. Never has anything here been off-limits of being turned into an opinion piece.

Yeah I’ve just never understood why they take things like this so personally. Like you’re actually out here getting mad online, my dudes.

I don’t own a truck but if I had a need I absolutely would, and I support anyone who wants to buy a truck. Erik’s shade tossing doesn’t bug me in the slightest.

It’s Jalopnik’s morning news round up. I think they can handle it however they decide to do so lol.

Cool, let those readers be tired of his takes. I’m fine with his takes and other similar takes being around.

And for the record, I fully disagree with Erik. I support truck ownership.

Look either you’re new to Jalopnik or you’ve been oblivious during your tenure... they’ve never claimed to be a neutral, brick and mortar news site of that variety.

We get it. You don’t like trucks. In a little over a month, you have posted three articles implying trucks are terrible. Don’t buy one.

I’m going to assume you live in the Bay area, otherwise this comment makes no sense.

Honestly it barely makes sense even if you do live in the Bay area.

EDIT: Okay, I read another of your replies to someone where you explain your finances/asset utilization and I at least understand where you’re coming from.... but I

You’re not interacting with the at-risk populace, but what about the people you do interact with? How many of them interact with at risk groups?

If you get it, and are fine, and give it to others who are also fine, they might give it to those who won’t be fine. And that could all happen before you know you have it, if

I’ve met Henry III a couple of times on mutual projects and he’s super humble/chill. No hint of “Don’t you know WHO I am?” at all. Very much a “Hey what’s up? I’m Henry.” type of guy. I like him.

All very good points, and nothing that I inherently disagree with. And while neither of us are likely to come back to this thread after the election, I would LOVE if you were capable of saying SEE I TOLD YOU after it happens.

It’s that final point, and tangents off of it, that’s I’m just not optimistic about. This

Widespread, no, but there’s absolutely a segment of folks that would cross shop those. When looking for a weekend/track day car, the only reason I crossed the Camaro off the list is that the windows aren’t big enough to fit a helmet through. Other than that, the Alpha platform is phenomenal on the track.

“He barely won”

My dude, it should have never even been remotely close, let alone barely winning. I don’t think his loyal following has been shaken enough, I don’t think the apathetic non-voters will show up with enough numbers to change much and I don’t think the Dems are unified enough to overcome those other two

You have an monumentally higher amount of faith in this country than I do. He’s going to win again.

I would LOVE to be wrong on this but he’s going to win again.

That series in its prime was criminally underrated/under-watched. It’s still fun, just a bit different.

I wish there was more consistent, singularly reporting (data, not media) from healthcare facilities on this, because as of now it’s just a mess of anecdotal evidence on both sides. I’m not disclaiming your son’s take on it, but I have a few friends who staff ICUs that were converted to Covid in Metro Detroit that were

Oh for sure. And also the manufacturer support that comes with that.

Back in the day, Porsche wouldn’t even really acknowledge the Caymans that ran ST or the GS 911s, because they didn’t support street car to race car conversions (I mean, to a degree none of the manufacturers did, but it was another level with Porsche

If I remember right, I think Karl (Compass360) said even his new GT4 car was cheaper than those ST S3s he ran that final year of the class lol.
