If there are two people in a pic, guarantee I like the other person better. I think people think that posing with their hotter friend will elevate their own attractiveness.

In re #3, you also run the risk of the other person being more attractive than you are. I saw one woman say “I’m the one on the left” and my big thought was “great, can you introduce me to the one on the right? She’s cute!” (I didn’t actually message...but I’ll admit I was tempted!)

My two big things when it comes to dating profile pictures are:

“Guns don’t kill people, online dating profile pictures displaying guns kill people”

And ladies, “duck lips” make you look really, really, REALLY stupid and shallow.

I’d say that who else is in the photo is also important.

I dress in sun god robes, stand on a pyramid and have a thousand naked women scream and throw little pickles at me.

I prefer to go around the group and ask everyone to tell me one thing they love about me, why they love it, and what they are going to do better next year to make me love them more. Then I request a small monetary donation in my honor to be placed in a basket at my feet. Finally, they get to choose one article of

You really should visit again sometime soon. Even people that go back every few years say they don’t recognize parts of the city because even the busiest areas develop and change so fast.

This ever so slightly makes me wary of the other “Best Travel Tips” posts…

I write regular blog posts helping travelers in Seoul based on conversations I’ve had with tourists through my business.

Has it been a while since you’ve been here?  Sure business dress is conservative, but strapless dresses, shorts, etc. have long been incorporated into how younger Koreans dress.

Do you drink? Koreans have a drinking culture. They sell booze everywhere. Every restaurant, convenience store, bars. I think the bar districts are worth checking out if not to drink, then to find a cool place to eat, people watch or shop. Also be sure to try and take advantage of Street Food!

>Use the train and subway system to get around, its absolutely fantastic and amazingly affordable. In well over 30 days in the city, I think we used a cab once.

Not a native, but a recent visitor to Seoul.

Did a week this year with my daughter. Stayed entirely in Seoul.

I love Seoul, was first introduced to city by my wife. We try and get back about every 5 years so not all of this is recent boots on the ground info.

I’m flying out to Athens tomorrow night. This is absolutely perfectly timed; thank you!

Living in a studio has actually been kind of a life hack. I routinely have to look at my stuff and evaluate if I want to keep it around. It’s also very easy to keep clean.
