You have to remember, they already got (I think over a year if you add it all together) of extra time and were selling XB1 copies. They already released after the new gen had released so that was bad, adding more dev time was out of the question.

One of the very first clips of this game that I saw centered on an unconscious, nude woman, rendering her a literal object, while the game seemed to be yelling in my face, “Boobs. BOOBS! LOOK. Look at how DARING we are being. Are you not shocked?!

Nothing about the game is “better” than the games it cribs from, though.

After reading this, along with all the controversy, and just... having outspoken “gamers” dismissing anything that isn’t white or hetero or cis as ‘political’, It’s no small amount of schadenfreude that their shiny new toy is in some cases that completely unplayable. I hope that those people who constantly shit on

Still not having completed it after 80 hours (and that’s mostly just from doing the actual gigs and not simply “assaults in progress” chaff) I do enjoy the game, definitely a 7-8, with some points it excels at. The way in which all playstyles are catered for, both the melee and firearms feeling powerful and effective

There was a great article on Kotaku about a week or two ago, about how those ratings mean absolutely nothing, and how a number of publications who look at games critically no longer use ratings. So the ratings skew very high on a game like Cyberpunk, as certain publications feel they must do that, due to pressure from

On the technical side it has alot of issues, but on the content side it’s top notched.

“They managed to leverage all their Witcher 3 goodwill”

I don’t think you understand that it’s possible for both the people you’ve talked to and the ‘internet dogpile’ as you’ve called it to be telling the truth. Sometimes one group can experience no issues, while another group will.

The devs and company admitted they shipped a product that is broken on PS4 and Xbox. What other evidence do you need?

I mean... You cited one game having each major problem, while 2077 has all of those problems at the same time. I’m not saying that 2077 is the only game that’s had a launch this buggy but it’s certainly one of the worst candidates.

So a legitimate question. You think that Sony pulled Cyberpunk 2077 out of the PS store and started giving, along with Gamestop apparently, refunds just because... overreactions on the internet? Like do you understand how much those decisions will cost for those companies? Can you name another buggy game release they

I give it...hmmm...let’s say three weeks, max, before all those returneddefective” copies are back in their shitty little yellow envelopes behind the counter being passed on to customers for $5 less than new.

No one can get the new consoles, so Cyberpunk should be one of GS’ biggest money makers right now...instead

So exactly how many people is that total? 30, 40? Do you see what I’m getting at here? Even if you personally knew hundreds, that is still anecdotal evidence, and nowhere near enough to discount that everyone else complaining is ‘blowing this out of proportion.”

Nathan doesn’t seem to have anywhere else to go because he’s radioactive for a lot of groups. Even being hired on by Kotaku was a big controversy at the time that the editors had to step in. He’s also a terrible writer. I have said as much to him in comments before. Dude loves to cherrypick and try to sling out his

“Bloomberg writes.”

Cyberpunk is a mediocre, overly buggy, and at times laughable experience, from CDPR, who in my humble opinion are perhaps the an unjustly heralded AAA dev team out there.

People who have researched overtime work and productivity know that crunch tends to hinder projects if done over a longer duration of time than a few weeks or months. What you point out here:

To be fair, neither Bethesda nor Activision dumped the problem in Sony’s lap with a, “Oh you can get a refund if you talk to Sony.”

Maybe they should have pulled those games. Maybe if these digital storefronts stop carrying broken games it would give publishers incentive to not release broken games. CDPR doesn’t care about you dude, you gain nothing by defending them.
