I don't like paying for chemicals either. That's why I make my own soap with the human body fat I steal from the bio-waste bins at a liposuction clinic.

It's getting very close to being cost effective to install in your kitchen instead of granite countertops.

I think there would have been many more contenders if Yahoo! hadn't shut down Geocities last year. lol

I'm glad he just paid for them all. I can't stand the people at Walgreens and CVS who sit and pick out the ones they don't want to pay for after getting a roll developed.

This does not bode well for the resale value of my 3GS when the iPhone 5 hits the shelves.

@FriarNurgle: I work with some Frenchies that do shower but don't use deodorant. It's very obvious by about 3 p.m. as the aroma wafts through their business suits.

The shampoo body wash stuff is $2 for a big bottle. Seriously, we're talking a savings of less than $30 a year.

@Dauthi: Analyzing the photos, I think they have it wrong in the article. The laptop dock and the HD dock are two separate things. The laptop dock is a big screen and keyboard with no processor. The HD dock is a small dock that probably lets you hook up to a TV for video out.

@Alexander Cardosa: I still think better syncing between the phone and your laptop OS would solve this problem without the need for a big toy dock fake laptop.

If I already paid for a laptop, why would I want it to be powered by my phone?

@LTA: Or you can get a macro effect with the DSLR by free-lensing. You can also build your own macro converter for under $20 by attaching glueing the front element of an old zoom lens to a stepping ring, so it will screw onto your DSLR. Here's how I did one for a Leica X1 [fredfacker.blogspot.com]

Another one of these contests skewed towards phographers in the north. Oh well, I'm going to KILL when Mark finally gets around to the theme Floating Dead Animals ... [www.flickr.com]

You can easily guess my brother's swipe pattern from the greasy trail always on his phone screen. lol

I've never been to Chicago, but I'm in.

And don't forget the backpack with solar panels you'll need to use your phone after more than a day in the wilderness ...

It's not just a monkey — it's a monkey in a kimono! This situation still happens in 2011, I'm just taller.

I got lazer-dazzled once ... but not by ASUS.

Is Leica at CES? They've been sandbagging the X1 firmware update for six months now. I was hoping they'd be there to announce it was available.

But how do you really feel, Matt?

Now playing

It would be nice if they would use a better camera and USB 3.0. The one on the Kinect is pretty damn bad.
