It's a pretty elementary though. And like others said here, nuance and subtlety are things The Walking Dead fails at.

Scott Gimple tried valiantly early on to clean up Mazzara's messes but this season has taken huge steps backward as it did after Beth's demise. I'm not sure why I watch anymore.
But the problem is the show has become a major tease. And the same formula is being followed with waiting around until something huge happens. It's a never-ending cycle.
it still doesn't explain that level of a trust for a guy that was also stunningly inept.
You know something's wrong when time was spent showing Carol sitting and dazed.
The show is striving to teach Morgan a lesson but what about Glenn? He entrusted a guy who tried to kill him as a coequal in escaping the group's predicament. There is way too much inconsistency.
Actually, if you look at the user ratings, Zach isn't far off….
The show has reverted back to the problems that plagued the series in earlier seasons—stalling before a major event to be followed by more stalling
The problem for me isn't Glenn surviving but the cheap tactics employed to make us think he was dead and drag it for a few episodes. And dear God I can't stand the younger actors on this show. I lost sympathy for Carl all the way back in Season 4 after the attack at the prison.
What about Daryl?
I think The Walking Dead now has a credibility problem. To throw out realism for the sake of a cliffhanger like that was just cheap and pure audience manipulation. That tactic isn't new, but this one was incredibly brazen.
Gimple gave a vague comment just read out on the Talking Dead. So who knows.
Another misdirection like with Carol's supposed death early in Season 3?
It looks bad for Glenn, but I'm not going to officially recognize Glenn's death until there is other confirmation down the road.
Simple mistake but it's there twice. Minor quibble
Carter, not Carl
I can't bring myself to enjoy this show. It squandered its stated goal which was to demonstrate the collapse of society. As one other commenter noted, all they had to do was follow some guidelines from World War Z. Instead, the show came to a grinding halt once Travis and co. escaped from the store. Now, we're…
The series is supposed to depict the collapse of society instead of having people meandering around their rooms essentially screaming exposition.
I think this grade is too generous. The slower pace would work better if the past few episodes gave us characters to care for.
I think Lori at her worst was better than these characters.
