The act is illegal but the person is not.

I’m just amazed that they have nothing better to do than worry about fucking subject headings. What a boring soap box for the GOP to stand on. I’m a librarian and I get worked up over subject headings and then have to talk myself down because it’s so boring and literally no one outside of libraries cares (but we care…
Ugh, flashback to my classmates being like, “OH, LOC is the best. I only use LOC subject headings.” Like, what are you people smoking? Same people who hate all technology. Why are you in this program?
I followed the debate to update the term “illegal alien” on Twitter and I can tell you that some librarians aren’t so awesome. What a disaster. I’m glad the progressive librarians are so loud and organized and finally got this changed. So many librarians are slow to evolve and they are often the ones in the higher…
When I first started my library degree in 2010 the LOC still used the term “cookery” for cookbooks, just to give an idea of how outdated some of these terms are. After the above debate started I looked it up and it seems they finally updated it.
These are probably old laws that have never been updated. Part of the argument the GOP is making for the Library of Congress keeping the subject heading “illegal alien” involves older laws using the term. They are afraid that changing the term will change how the laws are interpreted. I’m assuming updating these terms…
Also much more likely even the most rural people in Louisiana have easy access to multiple gun stores.
I’m glad I’m not the only one taking a weird personal interest in her life! She is just so damn delightful.
I just want to be her friend so having her charming instagrams in my feed make me think she IS my friend.
OMG, same. I’ve been wondering what was up after she posted a bunch of photos of her new place.
How many wars must be launched in the name of dead Starks?!
You raise a fair point. Though now I want to see a comparison pic of Rhaegar, wasn’t he a babe too?
I think the dialogue has taken a nose dive, but I’m hoping it’s just because they’re rushing the pieces into place for events that will happen later on.
He gives pretty good backside too, tbh.
I’m super excited about this and hoping it might bring in Sansa’s story in the book. I’ve been dying to know more about she ends up!
I assume most of the wildlings will go with Jon and be his army.
Poor little baby Tommen. :(
I wonder if Ned will discover that his sister really loved Rhaegar and their whole rebellion was a farce (granting that the mad king was pretty awful)? I feel like that would explain why Ned hasn’t seen Robert in so long in episode one. I hope we get to learn more about their relationship following the war.
I’m thinking it’s lurv too. Didn’t book Sansa have a lot of sighing moments about the story of Rhaegar giving a rose to Lyanna at a tournament? Why would any lady want to marry Robert Baratheon?
A 15-minute nap on my office floor used to help me make it through the 3pm slump. My current employers frown on it and I share an office now. So, instead I just click around on Facebook in a daze for the last 2 1/2 hours of work.
