I think she was pretty clear - “That is a rapist. These are not rapists.” I mean, DUH! That argument just speaks for itself. /s

One of the guys who helped her was found sobbing when the police got there because he was so upset about what he saw. Let’s dwell on that for a second. Mr. Rapist Brock Tuner tried to claim it was consensual but when two guys found them, Convicted Rapist Brock Turner started to RUN and one of the guys who found them

Can we get some respected and listened too public figure do an after school special for everyone to watch explaining what Political Correctness is - what it means, why it's important etc because too many people seem to have no frigging clue

Not only that, but one of them was apparently appalled enough by what they saw to be sobbing when they gave their statements. Totally sounds like a misunderstanding, right? Political correctness run amok?

Because we all know that taking someone’s clothes off without their consent and putting body parts into other people’s body parts without permission is just how things were in the good ol’ days before things like political correctness came along. Yup, totally the thing everyone was okay with, sure.

Oh, his family was respectable? Oh, you can think of five better contenders for Most Likely to Rape in your class yearbook? I just... Do you hear yourself?

“[...] rape on campus isn’t always because people are rapists.”

Cool Girls have that special~~ brand of internalized misogyny though! “I’m not like those feminazis who punish male sexuality—I’m a Cool Girl!”

Both? Cool Girls got all the internalized misogyny.

If you need a reason to go on living, the Lincoln Park Zoo named its new baby Alexander Camelton.

So is she trying to be a Cool Girl (TM) or is it just run of the mill internalized misogyny/rape culture?

Leslie Rasmussen and her band Good English are headliners of the Dayton Music Art and Film Festival in September. Go to their Facebook page and tell them RAPE APOLOGISTS should not be the face of an inclusive, celebratory event.

I’m a man who has been blackout drunk many times. Even with serious “clouded judgement” moments there was never a time where I thought “I should have sex with this unconscious girl”. You either have morals or you don’t. He doesn’t.

Since she was so drunk and passed out, it must have been SO hard for them to not rape her. How did they manage to avoid that?

I believe the arrest and conviction was based on the testimony of the woman who was raped and the 2 men who caught him in the act. Just that.

"On the decision of a girl who doesn't remember anything but the amount she had to drink." In case anyone needed an example for the clueless regarding rape culture, this is it.

I shouldn’t really complain, my in laws are actually pretty great in comparison to what some of our Indian friends and family go through with theirs, but they do drive me crazy sometimes. They don’t expect me to cook or clean up after them like my sister in laws’s in-laws do, but they are definitely traditional though

“...it is not ok to expect something from women, simply because they are women.”

LOL. I married a white dude and when i go visit his family there are no expectations for me to cook, clean or take care of the in laws. I love it. If i had married an indian dude, I might have been expected to do all the house work in addition to having babies when my in laws wanted me to. I am originally from india

This is what my mother in law wanted for her son. Instead she got a short, chubby, white girl, who waited 4 years to start having kids, and stays out late with her friends while her husband cooks dinner. Sorry Amma.
