The first RE I played was 4 and it was awesome. RE7 is also awesome. That being said, this game does not feel like a return to form to me. It feels like a new game all together.

There’s rumors that it’ll be a prequel. It might not be John at all, but I suspect that were it an unrelated wild west story, it wouldn’t be Red Dead Redemption 2, but rather something else (i.e. Red Dead Retribution)
