Yep. From my own experience, I know the more I’m exposed to something, the more tolerant I become. I am extremely allergic to cats but the more I’m exposed to them, the less I react to them.

It’s not that kids need to play in dirt. It’s that for most of human history, kids DID play in dirt. And our immune system was calibrated for that. But now that kids are raised in a 99.99% germ free environment, you get asthma and allergies which are just immune systems that never got calibrated properly.

Kids need to play in dirt. Big surprise... When was this forgotten?
