Sexism is when you throw everything away for a man, whereas intersectional feminism is when you throw everything away for someone who isn’t a man.

This has already been heavily covered by anti-racist thinkers. Impact outweighs intent. Accidental racism is racism. Feel free to google on that.

Nope nope nope. This is Whataboutism. Bringing up Israel whenever antisemitism is discussed is derailment.

It's really inappropriate to bring up Israel every time something antisemitic happens.

White people as a whole are less oppressed and are frequently the oppressors but oppression takes a lot of forms, get applied at a lot of levels and targets people for more than just skin color.  Until you and other morons who think like you figure that out you’re never going to build winning coalitions.

You realize racism isn’t about indiscriminately hating everyone who isn’t white and is often applied selectively to certain ethnic groups, right? And that non-white people can be anti-black? Or do we need to review Racism 101 again?

its not all from men. How many dating sites have you seen where the female poster is like “if youre under 6 feet, dont apply.”

People, including Nicole Kidman, definitely commented on the height difference.

Exactly. Putting this all on men and toxic masculinity is such BS. Come on, ladies lol

You must be lonely, up there in your own asshole.

I don’t think that’s really the point here, though. This couple gets mocked because he’s “too short” for her, not because she’s “too tall”.

I think it is disingenous to lay this all on the feet of men. In fact, I would venture to say that women are significantly more likely to perpetuate the mandate that the man has to be taller.

GAWD DAMN I hope this is satire!

Right because fantasy and folklore have no history of coding different species with racist stereotyping, no siree Bob. It’s super lucky that those money-grubbing hook-nosed goblins and dark-skinned barbarians have zero real-life analogues, otherwise we might have to question authorial intent!

It’s not worth engaging with them. I suck at remembering names so I replied to them not realising they were the same dogmatic/irrational asshole I’ve told myself repeatedly not to engage with. And it’s not just this issue, they’re like that about everything. Don’t waste your time.

I’ve watched you attack so many people on this site, and admit that you aren’t trans, that I believe you’re intentionally hurting the trans community. There’s no reason to alienate allies like you do unless you’re actively bringing down the community. You’ve turned allies into “fine, whatever, I don’t care anymore”

Were you trying to illustrate JPlum’s point about both sides being irrational and ignoring science? Because it’s spot on.

The problem is we have bad actors (i.e. republicans) who just hate transpeople, and so our reaction (‘our’ being people who don’t hate transpeople) is to uncritically come out against everything they say. And that means we don’t actually evaluate anything by any rubrik other than ‘are we being nice?’

Unless you’re being tongue in cheek (I can’t tell on this site anymore) The standard you’re advocating for is silly. No one wants to watch some dude who would have been a bench warmer for the Washington Generals score 50 PPG in the WNBA, that’s dumb.

Sure, and while we’re at it... let’s get rid of age restrictions too! If kids and seniors want to compete, they’ll have to earn a place on the bench with the rest of the pros.
