Frankly, I think the number of PS4 gamers looking to mod a 5-year old game that’s already had mods from the get-go on PC is a pretty small number. Are they alienating a few people? Yeah. But most of the gamers who care about mods aren’t playing on a PS4 to begin with.

The majority of console gamers aren’t concerned with mods. Nobody is picking up a new console for the holidays thinking “I’m doing this for Skyrim/Fallout 4 mods”. Anyone interested in that route got both of those games long ago.
