The military might get a increase in funding, but you can be damn sure almost none it will find its way to service members in the form of increased pay and benefits, or to things like the VA and other support services for veterans.

I like to dream that this will be what finally pulls the AARP away from the Republican kool-aid.

I’m looking forward to the tens of dollars that this, as well as the multitude of other tax breaks, will net me in my paycheck.

We can attribute many of these features to the small-government ideology of budget director Mick Mulvaney.

While I ultimately fall on the side of, “let’s not starve people to death” a small part of me is interested to see what happens when all those white racist assholes that don’t see themselves as poor even though they are on food stamps, suddenly lose their safety net and don’t have a black president to blame.
