Weird deal about not being down with equal rights for gay women?
Great lady, may she rest in peace.
Yup.
And McDonald’s had a home budgeting plan for employees that included income from a second job.
She sounds like a badass. RIP Roxcy (also a badass name). Thank you for your hard won fights.
The military might get a increase in funding, but you can be damn sure almost none it will find its way to service members in the form of increased pay and benefits, or to things like the VA and other support services for veterans.
Protip for idiot Republicans: people on food stamps work. Some of them are even serving their country in the military.
“...we need you to go to work”
Given how fucking impossible it’s been for a friend who BADLY needs it to stay on disability, I highly doubt there is anyone on it who “isn’t supposed to be”
Fuck that logic. Fuck the shaming. Fuck how these people automatically assume that everyone on food stamps is lazy.
I am so tired of the world tonight, y’all
No, no, no. See, our Orange Overlords will magnanimously establish fully funded private charitable organizations to provide the same services offered by these wasteful and ineffective government programs. And they will do so immediately, so no one suffers due to a lapse in aid typical when switching from one extremely…
Well, Betsy is busy curating her collection of children’s tears and Ben Carson accidentally trapped himself in a street mime’s invisible box. Here is Trump mistakenly addressing Bannon’s “exoskeleton” for 10 minutes.
Republicans would sell each of their constituents for a nickel.
“We need people to go to work,” Mulvaney told reporters. “If you are on food stamps, we need you to go to work. If you are on disability and you should not be, we need you to go back to work.”
I like to dream that this will be what finally pulls the AARP away from the Republican kool-aid.
I’m looking forward to the tens of dollars that this, as well as the multitude of other tax breaks, will net me in my paycheck.
We can attribute many of these features to the small-government ideology of budget director Mick Mulvaney.
While I ultimately fall on the side of, “let’s not starve people to death” a small part of me is interested to see what happens when all those white racist assholes that don’t see themselves as poor even though they are on food stamps, suddenly lose their safety net and don’t have a black president to blame.
“Small government” = “fucking over poor people”. Apparently.
“But then, who would benefit from this budget proposal? The military would be provided with a 10 percent increase in funding, and both law enforcement and border patrol would profit too. Quelle surprise.”
