So...how long until it drops off the menu again? They stopped carrying it because it wasn't popular enough to justify the specialized packaging, and I don't know how long it can remain sufficiently popular without FOMO.

...are we sure this wasn’t intended as an Onion headline? Not knocking fresh figs, but I have great difficulty picturing the person who has a bunch and no idea what to do with them.
Of course he’s thrilled with it. He’s a diehard iconoclast who got to crater a beloved multinillion dollar series, with the owners’ blessing - how many people can say that?
Conversely, most of the meat eaters I know are curious about meat substitutes, frequently try them when they pop up on menus like this, generally tend to like them...and then realize that for all that, they’re not willing to pay 50% more for the option.
McD in particular is pushing their app *hard*. The deals they offer on there are mostly BOGO or better
Exactly. I’m sure the intention was to score some tax breaks and kill a project the current ownership didn’t greenlight - but the side effect is that people are suddenly very interested in this (probably awful) movie, and folks will like it far more when it inevitably leaks than they would have if it limped into…
Honestly, if there's demand for the sauce? It will. She couldn't manage the logistics of producing and shipping at scale, and Dave's can. I just don't know if the actual product is any good...
Everything but book publishing...and all of these pre-existing deals where specific rights (board games, films) were loaned out. Wonder if they’re now making any money off those, or if it was lump sum at the time?
So you advocate boycotting restaurants until they pay servers enough that tipping becomes unnecessary?
Thinking about this far harder than Amy of the parties involved actually did...
I can’t help but think that if this had worked as intended, “troubled game experiences massive player dropoff” is likelier to get the game abandoned than fixed.
Thank you for resisting the temptation to make this a video.
“That is a sense of ‘found family’ that an Avengers movie can only provide by drowning it in headcanon.”
Overwatch league had a a rule that they’d always play at least 4 matches - if one team lost 3-0, they’d play what was essentially an exhibition round to fill time.
I'd hought that Frost was the one who kept Lynch tethered and making sense in that series, but nope - it was the network execs who kept him from drifting into the stratosphere.
I think 50 year old Keanu Reeves looks more like an action hero than even a 25 year old Bob Odenkirk would.
I feel like Dark Souls really pioneered this sort of crowdsourced lore generation, at least as attached to a high-profile video game. They establish very few concrete facts but provide a whole lot of evocative suggestions, then let the community come up with explanations.
Thats the best explanation I have for something that looks *so much* like NFTs on the surface but really isn’t.
I mean...
Based on what the rep said here, it's really not. It's more like a picture (3d model, graphic representation, whatever) tied to a trophy. Absent the ability to exchange them, you can't do any of the financial shenanigans that define NFT bulkshittery.
