It feels like BK’s quality control has gone to hell in the past decade or so.

If it’s 45 meals to break even on the lifetime pass, that means 9 meals to break even on the 2-month pass. So you’ll lose money unless you eat at Olive Garden once a week during that stretch. I’m not too good for Olive Garden, but I don’t know if I want to commit to going there that regularly.
No, you’ve got it wrong. It’s ending capitalism that’s going to make us all live in harmony, and be immortal.
Assuming we put the permanent site in Athens for historical reasons (plus, it’s not like Greece is a major international player), I don’t see how that is worse than the current status quo. Are people elsewhere going to stop caring if there’s not an opportunity to have their own Sochi or Rio?
If future Olympics are hosted by the likes of Turkmenistan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, those games will make Sochi and Rio look flawless an smooth. I don’t know how many 1st world athletes will be interested in attending games if their health is in danger the whole time.
In answer to your other question - yes, he’s just delaying the inevitable. I don’t know how much longer he’ll be playing anyway, but there’s no version of his preferred helmet that will be NFL legal in 2021.

I think I came to that conclusion after Fight Club; the Durden role needed a character actor with ridiculously good looks.
Bingo. If any Dr. Who fan tried to say the 2005 episodes aren’t a “reboot” because they’re in the same continuity, they’d be laughed out of the room.
Chemically, sure, but is it metabolized any differently?
Look, Deadspin has put themselves in a situation where they’ve decided the Hand of God goal is the finest moment in association football history, and you’re not going to dissuade them with things like logic and reason.
Ok, correct me if I’m wrong - isn’t every calorie we consume always either fat, protein, or carb? And if so, what is alcohol if not a carb?
The “joke Whoopi was playing on Ted” theory seems pretty viable to me. Though I don’t think Whoopi realized *just* how poorly it would be received.
You mean we can solve the complicated story problem by making the story more complicated? Personally, I vote the old lady simply *not* swallow the fly.
Gosh, it’s almost as if relegation is used in a wildly different sporting culture and isn't viable in the U.S.
Doom and the 4 I’m fine with - the MCU has room for five new characters. Hundreds of superpowered mutants who were conspicuously absent until recently are another story.
...I apologize for putting words in your mouth, but it sounds like you’re agreeing with my “trip toy” assessment.
Oh, the guy with a background in deliberately pummeling people into unconsciousness didn’t have the touch necessary to *avoid* pulping his opponent’s face? Color me shocked.
“Pro/rel would work in the US if soccer were as ingrained in the culture as something like college football.”
Which might be because it *wasn’t* a calculated blade job, but instead a mishandled hit that drew blood.
