Appears that way.
Surprised they lasted as long as they did, but after Jezebel got the axe and now The Root’s comment section is gone, this is basically a ghost town on the majority of articles that aren’t rage bait.
How is going to prison not a punishment?
The last of these sites seem to be in the death spiral.
No, but you can’t just say you’re a contentious objecter either. You have to demonstrate it. Historically in America, that means showing at least some kind of affiliation with a society or cause that has firmly stated anti-war belief. S. Korea, a country with compulsory military service probably has even tougher…
Yeah you’re right.
Wow, Kotaku headlines suuuuuuck.
i reckon those 18 months are gonna hit different when the guys lookin for work or probably enrollment in any number of government services
In 2022, I would have said, for those that couldn’t afford very expensive PCs and graphics cards that run them.
you don’t have to pay that on PC, why on xbox?
That’s a Microsoft decision rather than a SE one. Going back almost 20 years to the PS2/PS3/360 days of FFXI, SE has never required the console’s paid online service in order to play. i wondered that too (not that it justifies abuse from adults) but this is what google said (via instagram’s help section) -
No one is asking why a 12-year-old has an Instagram account? Isn’t the requirement to be 13?
I just checked the link. It has raised $13,295.
I also feel like it’s typical in these situations to raise funds with bake sales or raffles and such. I get it if Milano wants to hit up her fans — but at least offer something in return. Autographed photos. Handmade trinkets. Personalized video messages. SOMETHING. What are they teaching the kids about fundraising if…
A couple of thoughts from an internet rando:
Of course they shouldn’t hassle the kid (or, honestly, even her) and of course she might be cash-poor. All that is true. The problem here is that, presumably, on a team with 11 non-celebrity moms and one celebrity mom, the celebrity mom chose to advertise it. One of the other 11 moms could have just put up a GoFundMe…
