First, I think it is a valid thing to note the difference between various styles of gameplay. There’s major structural, stylistic, mechanical and other differences between, say, Final Fantasy 7 and Baldur’s Gate, to the point where only calling them both “RPGs” feels overly broad.

JRPG always denoted a style of game to me, not an RPG made in Japan. I don’t consider Dragon’s Dogma or Dark Souls JRPGs. But I do consider Chained Echoes a JRPG, even though it was developed by someone from Germany.

It was originally destined to be a spec unit bolted onto a purpose-designed 2.4L engine. The new engine formula was meant to be more powerful, more efficient, and louder (better sounding). Because Indycar couldn’t attract a 3rd engine manufacturer, they had to revert to carrying the now decade-old 2.2L engines even

Now here come all the white people to tell the Japanese guy why he was “wrong” to feel the way he did.

The CRV platform is just a lifted Civic hatch, so lowering kinda normalizes it.

Totally - there are usually one or two early CRVs with TE37s and lowering kits at car shows near me. They look really good. They can be made properly quick too - they can accept any performance-oriented K or B series motor, which are known for being able to handle boost well. Not uncommon for drag guys to swap CRV

Wait, so they did a CR-V in house in addition to working with Hoonigan on the indytruck? Same thing, NSX suspension, indycar engine, but in a Ridgeline. Interesting that they’d do two such similar one-off vehicles so close to each other.

Fascinating that it’s so similar to the Indycar-powered Ridgeline that Hoonigan built for SEMA - NSX front suspension, Indycar rear suspension.

A cool thing is that a lot of CUVs are actually built on traditional car platforms so they take well to suspension mods.

Id be happy with 280-300 hp and the front end components from the CTR. Keep it a hybrid so I can commute with my kids comfortably and not spend crazy on fuel. Then I won’t feel guilty when I really get on it when the opportunity arises.

they hardly make any sedans, couples, or hatchbacks any longer, certainly not at CRV prices, unless you want an Altima

im with you , i am WAY into that look

Lowering kits for the CR-V are cheap.

Agree with you. So many people hating on these smaller SUVs or crossovers, but they are really good platforms to work with. I have seen lowered C-HR and HR-V at meets, and I have to say they display better presence than the typical sedans/coupes/wagons.

Soon to be driven around Tokyo by Lil Bow Wow

Lowered CR-V’s (aka conventional wagons) look sweet. Reminds me of the old Forester XTI concept

Awesome!  Now give us a detuned 400hp street-legal version, like the Big3 did back in the 60s....

Can we get more lower riding vehicles. If you took off all the aero bits, you have what looks like a pretty good looking wagon sorta vehicle. I dig it.

The Indycar hybrid system they’re going to be using is so half-baked its hilarious.

I hope I’ll be able to play this. I foolishly started a New Game+ at the end because I wanted to punch that horse jerk into the ground, but once I did that I realized I was stuck back at the start of the game. I don’t have it in me to grind to some of the later areas again.
