That’s a great example though. $5/month for 1000 fans only ends up being $60,000 a year split between two people plus hosting costs. For that site to be viable, you’d probably need a patreon of at least 2,000 if not 3,000

The only person fired (from what I can tell) is Barry, who didn’t write for Kotaku and who decided to openly troll his bosses. So yeah, it’s bullshit to pretend like Kotaku got eviscerated here.

I’ve said this before, but it probably bears reiterating. Kotaku annoys me sometimes. Totilo has really done an amazing job running this site . Even though my enjoyment is mostly limited to Schreier at this point, I can respect what is going on here. The writers (with a few exceptions, and I say that as someone who’s

Thanks Luke. I was concerned for a minute there.

I read Arkham and immediately thought Batman. And that's with bring familiar with Arkham Horror haha. I'm just more familiar with Batman

I can’t imagine that 5 to 1 stat holds up post social media (if it ever did). Calling/sending a letter was a time/logistical investment that shooting off a tweet isn’t, especially when we’ve been trained to be tweeting constantly.

In case anyone else is confused as hell (like I was) by someone bemoaning this being an “exclusive” elsewhere in the thread given that it’s out on every possible system, I think they’re referring to this being an Epic Store exclusive.

Yeah it literally took ten tries for me to really grasp CKII, and then I kept buying expansions and have to learn a bunch of new mechanics. And even after years of playing, I'll sell find random new layers to the have I never even considered looking for

I’d give you a star, but you’re currently sitting at 69.

I wish I could star this article. That was a fun read.

Probably the 39 years of Star Wars since Empire

I can’t think of all the possible ins and outs, but it could be just as easy as requiring teams to put certain language in a contract about how it is void if improper communication occurred prior to the signing as determined by the league office. I have no idea what protections are in the CBA to prevent that though.

I saw this thing at PAX and fell in love. Glad to see it lived up to the potential

Or why they ended the Office after three seasons (except for the movie about Jim and Pam getting married two years later).

Like I just responded to Heather, my post was intended solely as a joke about Dragon Age 2, not a criticism of the point being made or the article. However, it appeared to miss the mark based on your comment and Heather’s, which is why I apologized to her below. I really only intended to dunk on DA2.

Sorry, Heather. My post was intended solely as a joke about Dragon Age 2 but it appears (based on your comment and the other response) that it could be read as being snarky about the article, which wasn’t my intent. So I apologise to you if it came off like a criticism of what you wrote.

DA2 also uses the same rooms over and over.

Fable I-best story

Quack quack quack, Mr. Ducksworth.
