Gears of War 3 is gobbleygook. The first game has a solid, straightforward story that the second one expands on in an interesting way. 3 is just a nightmare.

I can’t imagine there’s going to be a lot of overt callbacks to GoW 1-3 because of the fact that everyone is dead except for Kratos and like one or two gods.

So you don’t like Breath of the Wild and therefore comparisons to it are invalid? I’ve not played BotW, but he’s referring to a very specific part of that game (which was a smash hit by all metrics) to reference what a specific enemy in God of War feels like. That seems exactly like what a reviewer should do, draw

Two is still an awesome game by any standard. One has some serious graphics limitations but its story is awesome.

Haveyou ever gone back to Revelations? I felt the way you did when I played it the first time. I replayed it later and it was a far better get than I appreciated it for originally. Some of that is I finally got the hook blade and all the ways it let you traverse the city more quickly (first time had me flailing on my

Is that from 2d Ed?

The newest GM screen helped A LOT because they have the jumping rules on it, unlike the first screen that was basically “You want to roll for names, right?”

Some people prefer Dark Souls, other people prefer the Telltale Walking Dead games.

What’s an averaged Str/Dex check?

The biggest problem is jumping in combat because it’s not clear how quickly you fall. Everything is supposed to be happening during the same 6 seconds so it gets confusing real quickly.

Oh so this is why I get my ass kicked on settler.

Asylum really holds up. The only area where you really wish for the newer games is the stealthing, which is A LOT more difficult because you have fewer abilities to use on the guards.

You’re right. I feel like Asylum has actually aged better than City because it was a tighter gameplay experience. City was generally considered the better game upon release, but having playing Knight, going back to the super slow traversal in City is PAINFUL.

What I would like from the expansions is a return to the old difficulty levels. I hate how it feels now, like the game has an elasticity built in so that there’s always a Civ that’s staying neck and neck with you despite you building up your cities to their peak effectiveness.

The only difference in tone is that you (apparently) like this game. This was not a sarcastic article, nor did it needlessly bag on the game.

I definitely played Witcher 3 with a mouse/keyboard. Worked great.

Or they specifically did write the same articles about Unity and Arkham Knight, but whatever.

The ad campaign in my twitter feed has not inspired confidence

I fail to see how Ricardo pointing out that it’s a little disingenuous of the developers to act like them making their game better, which ultimately benefits them, is something we should thank them for is worth deriding.
