I liked 3 a lot. It was probably my favorite as well.

This is a slight detour from the article above, but I thought I’d throw it in in case there are other Civ players like me.
Not directly related, but when I played Demon’s Souls, I made a mistake near the end where I accidentally clicked the wrong button and attacked the storage guy who then chased me around the hub forever. So I had to stop farming my souls and start a NG+, which was frustrating/sad because I wanted to get a little more…
Two is loved because of the crew and the streamlined (read, dumbed down) interface/leveling. I ride/die with ME1 forever, but I get why 2 is liked a lot. It doesn’t have any of the clunkiness of 1.
I got out of THAT relationship about 5 years ago and it has been FANTASTIC to have my Sundays free.
I’m definitely in the camp of defending Assassin’s Creed 1. Honestly, if you cut out the unskippable talks at the beginning of every mission and, to a lesser extent, made it possible to fast travel without running down that entire mountain, I believe 1 would probably be in the top 5 for everyone (IV would still be my…
What does it say about me that I see those jetpacks in the pictures and think “Tribes”?
My group only got half-way through Storm King’s Thunder, but we saw a ton of goblins, never a Kobold.
I really, really miss the minion mechanic.
I was hoping someone would post this. I think it speaks worlds of how terrifying Oakley was that Barkley did nothing when Oakley slapped him but was not reticent about throwing down with Shaq.
What awful dictionary did that come from? It uses the word in it’s own definition, which is a huge no-no. Having said that, you’re correct that most dictionaries now recognize that second definition, which is a travesty.
Yeah, I’d say only play 3. Witcher 1 is super dated graphically at this point and the only reason to play it is the story (which is really good, but the game is long). Witcher 2 is a good, self-contained story that really doesn’t get much play in Witcher 3 (Frankly, I feel like Witcher 1 matters more since it’s…
The first Mass Effect is still a top 10 game for me and I too love the universe. I think the game made a huge misstep leaving the Milky Way. You could either set the game some time before teh end of three or choose one of the endings and go from there. I think a smaller focus game (like something set in the citadel as…
Why would someone who played through the trilogy multiple times not be the target audience of the games?
This is exactly it. Like, I’m 4/5 of the way through PIllars of Eternity, but I don’t know if I’m going to finish it because, while it’s pretty good, it’s way too long for the quality it provides (imo).
That’s exactly it. I can hammer out 10 hour games I’m ambivalent about but when the game is asking 30+ hours, there’s just no way.
I bought it for the same amount and I feel like I overpaid. I’m staring at a 10 hour save that I don’t want to go back to.
Yeah, I was playing it in September and had totally forgot about the facial animation fiasco until I saw a couple scenes and was like “ohh right.”
I should say, I love KotoR and it has that same thing happening.
Eh, Morrowind is probably the most-loved Bethesda game. I personally haven’t been able to get into it because of the behind-the-scenes dice rolling that happens rather than my skill (i.e., exploiting the stealth system and shooting arrows from way too far away) affecting the outcome.
