Well, The Game Show have just gained another sub. That was a brilliant video. Informative and funny as hell. Cheers for sharing that one Luke.

Polymorph into Matt Mercer.

Can confirm; internet speeds in rural UK are a joke. BT/OpenReach owns the telecoms infrastructure here, but they’re still using copper wire for the majority of their network, usually fibre to the cabinets, then copper wire to the premises.

I got excited at this, assuming I’d finally be able to play Link’s Awakening with the dpad, but no, sticks and dpad can’t be remapped.

In terms of ergonomics, it looks fine. I just hope that this isn’t representative of what the console’s aesthetic will look like. I’ll be holding out for an all-black model if so (white’s gross imo).

We had geese when I was a kid/teen and they were generally quite nice birds with a good temperament (apart from the one we christened “Psycho”).

I picked up a Steam Controller when it was on sale. While I liked the ergonomics (especially the shoulder button/trigger placement), the touchpads were total garbage; really unresponsive and finicky. I was expecting them to be like laptop trackpads where I could operate them with just my fingertips (or thumb tips in

Still gets me. That, and the “baby girl” callback later on. Fucking genius. You can shove your franchise/multiplayer bullshit...I want single-player stories that make me feel something.

41.67M as of 30th Sept. Maybe add on an extra 2.5M to account for October and the Switch Lite figures.

My buddy went through 3 of them in the first couple of years (360s, that is). I had x2 PS3s. My original 60GB PS3 died whilst playing Lollipop Chainsaw, so that’s nearly 6 years of use.

102M is crazy ridiculous, but I’m still more impressed with the PS3 sales figures tbh. Despite the incredibly rocky launch, high price, lack of games and the fact the 360 had a 12 month head-start, they still managed to shift 87M units, outselling the 360 by a couple of million.

Eh, there’s no reason for it to not have BC; it’s the same x86 architecture and should be incredibly easy to implement. The question is whether or not it’ll take advantage of the newer/faster hardware (shorter load times, increased resolutions/framerates etc.)

Damnit! My gaming schedule was perfect; Doom Eternal next month, TLoU2 in Feb then Cyberpunk in April.

Yeah, Windows is everywhere for this sort of thing. Our POS terminals run Windows, as does the ATM outside. Even the Costa coffee machines run Win7.

Quick Q; are Nintendo Online subscriptions cumulative?

On hearing the news that both Cyberpunk and Doom Eternal would support ray tracing I actually started looking into RTX (super) cards. I quelled that idea as soon as I found out that ray tracing at 1440p >60FPS was a no go.

Back in the day I was blown away by anything Alberto José González composed (specifically the GameBoy stuff). What he managed to do with just x2 square channels, a wave channel and a noise channel was mighty impressive.

The selling point for me is the increased refresh rate of the display (90Hz on the Vive vs up-to 144Hz on the Index). That and the slight resolution bump. Not that I’ve got a grand burning a hole in my pocket.

Right!?
