I remember reading a hypothesis years ago that it’s possible to start up a dirt-devil using 2 trucks going in opposite directions and passing each other close enough to create that localised ‘torque’ event in the air between them, but I don’t know if it was ever tested or proven.

All joking aside, car salesmen and vehicle acronyms and ‘marketing-speak’ haven’t improved much in the last 40 years. It’s still very, very easy to utterly bamboozle a car buyer with terminology that they simply can’t, wont, and don’t understand.

It’s a shame we can’t harness stupidity as source of renewable energy”

Yup - my first thought too.

err - just tilt the glass as you pick it up, ie: break the surface tension in the liquid.  Not hard to get into the habit of.

When you said “is modular bow to stern.”, I thought you could clip the entire boat to another entire boat to make a bigger boat.
I had visions of one of these thing 5 units long and 3 units wide forming an artificial, self-powered, mobile party island.

Disappointed.

I always wondered what Mello Yello actually was..... I thought it was coolant tbh.

London buses windows are polycarbonate, not glass (normally they’re so scratched you can’t see through them!)

Just fyi:

Worth bearing in mind for some of those suggestions (especially 4 & 6), that not all shower curtains are actually water-PROOF. Yes, they’ll stop water spraying out over the floor when it bounces off your body, and let the water flow down the inner surface of the curtain into the bath .... that’s what it’s FOR, that is

It’s interesting how often the concept of cars running on blood as a horror movie conceit seems to come up;”

“Bonhams is anticipating $150,000 - 250,000"

Both Cars and Bikes for us.

A pull out cook system isn’t a good idea in a ‘Stealth’ camper - where the whole idea is that other people do NOT realise you’re camping.

I travelled around UK, France and Spain in this for 15 months....

Re the toilet. Having lived in a van, it’s not a pleasant experience being inside a van where someone has just used the toilet.... unless the unit is hidden away inside it’s own cubicle (with an extractor fan!).

Depends on the Van.

1)  yes agreed. (in general cars seem to be used at about 3/5s of their ‘performance’ (by whichever measure you take) across the globe).

Believe it or not, you don’t need BigFoot to drive up a flat grassy field. ;)
(although I’ll admit muddy fields can be problematic without the proper equipment).

Lived in a van for 15 months (pre-pandemic, more of a mid-life-crisis thing), but with a few months house-sitting: Having a proper long shower is the one thing that van life can’t give you - everything else is cool.
