There’s a reason that unions developed in the first place.  While they may not be necessary when the times are good, they can be critical to workers when times are not.  

Well that's exactly the point of a corporation. None of these big businesses are out there to serve their employees. The goal of a corporation is to make money for the shareholders.

Counterpoint: if you’re in the market for a car driven by a rotary you already know all of that and are willing to live with it. Of course you could LS swap this or put something more reliable in it, but why would you want to?
