@your 6.0: As a girl who grew up with 2 older brothers, I can tell you that "gleek" was definitely in use in Oklahoma in the '80s and '90s.

What I find interesting about these arrangements is that, no matter how many people are involved, there always seems to be a primary relationship (made up of two people) that is the center of it all. In Sally's situation, she is the 3rd. She is not a part of the primary relationship that is the anchor of the bigger,…
Another premiere for Julie & Julia and, yet again, I notice a distinct lack of the crossed-ankle pee-pee dance stance! Hooray!
@morninggloria: Don't take this the wrong way, but now I REALLY want to go to your funeral. The Disney sing-along clinched it.
I missed the part in the clip where she said she was addicted to alcohol or drugs. She admits to using both of them, but I don't think she ever said she was an addict. Was this mentioned elsewhere & I missed it?
@MissMoneypenny: Agreed. I'm sure my husband would hate to "fail and drag [me] down with [him]" because he loves me and he doesn't want me to be hurt by the things that happen in his life. But I don't want him to suffer alone. If he loses his job or whatever, I really WANT to be there for him. I want us to tackle…
I found out the hard way that my local Rite Aid keeps their condoms and even their pregnancy tests behind the pharmacy counter. The drug store is open 24/7 but the pharmacy is not. So if you wander in there between the hours of 6pm and 9am for contraceptives or a pg test, you're out of luck.
I just want to know how someone is supposed to drop 10 pounds AND "grow your bust line" simultaneously. One does not naturally happen with the other unless surgery is involved. Right?
@Cafezinha: Your wedding sounds pretty dreamy to me!
@portia_sue: Love definitely won't pay the bills, true. And it takes a special kind of relationship that can grow stronger during the tough times rather than weaker.
@portia_sue: Thanks Portia! I should qualify my original statement by saying that I live in the south. Maybe in a progressive area like NYC, things are a bit easier. Just do your homework! Talk to a mortgage loan officer or a financial planner and find out how the situations compare. If you're first time home buyers,…
@portia_sue: Actually, for your plan to sound practical, you'd get married first and buy the house afterward. I have some unmarried-couple friends who are trying to buy a house & they've come upon some problems that weren't an issue for me and my husband. For various reasons - taxes, insurance, bank approval, and on…
Is it just me or are we seeing a lot less of the standard pee-pee-dance crossed-ankle stance on this red carpet than usual? What a nice change!
@pond-side-over: Thanks for the heads up! I watch F1, but haven't gotten into F2 yet. It's encouraging to hear that women are racing there. Take THAT, Bernie!
@Ailatan: I hear that Felipe will be okay, but his racing days may be over because of the eye injury. So scary. Thank goodness he survived.
@Penny: I found that pretty damn endearing, too.
Honestly, it wasn't half bad for a first time effort. I enjoyed this more than half of the shows that are on Food Network right now. Ina and Nigella are fab, but that Guy Fieri (sp?) guy has GOT to go.
@nyc-caribbean-ragazza: This reminds me of one of my biggest frustrations with watching BBC America. They have fewer ads during shows in the UK, so usually when the shows air in the states they have to edit out a few minutes of the programs. Annoys the fuck out of me.
The theatrical costumer in me is panicked by Michael Gambon's cigarette pocket.
