XTS and Escalade are the two best cars Cad builds right now (quality wise) - CT6 is up there, too. My only hope is the upcoming vehicles are built better than the problem laden XT5. I sincerely hope the XT5 is just going through first model year teething issues.
I’ll bid $1, Bob.
Yes. Even as a current Fbody owner I’d say the Fox is a more enjoyable/lower cost fun hot rod. I’d never recommend an LT1 car to anyone. The LT1 isn’t necessarily horrible - but kind of an orphan engine with some PITA common issues.
Based on all the information here, it appears the good news is the windshield is fine.
About 13 years ago I bought a Hayabusa with 7k miles on it. I loved it. Enjoyed riding it and couldn’t get enough of it. Long rides, short rides, drag strip, high speed events, Sunday slow rides, all the rides - just loved them. Then a little over a year ago I moved to a very heavily populated area. The kind of place…
Leaving out tax only makes sense in the US because of the different tax & fee rates in the different states.
State of the art 1963 (Chrysler turbine car).
Sadly, this is a lot like much of the new stuff coming from the Domestics (at least some of them). Good ideas that just aren’t finished.
I bet blue42_atl’s dad used to keep a spare jug of coolant in the trunk in case the water pump ever leaked again.
I want to preface this by saying I am not in any way trying to diminish your experience. I can imagine it was extremely frustrating...especially when no matter who you take your car to, they assume they know more about it than you. It is sad that you had multiple rides where the noise was heard by all (which also…
Right, and when you’re having bribing customers for positive surveys you’ve nullified the value of the survey. When other customers learn about the bribe system, most are happy to get on board with it themselves.
I don’t respond well to what can only be read as a personal attack. I might tolerate it from a customer because it’s my job; but not from a keyboard warrior. My entire post had nothing to do with a customer problem - it was to highlight how broken the Mfg survey system is. You just took it upon yourself to interpret…
My 94% CSI score disagrees with you - and before you ask, I don’t coach customers. At no point did I even imply that I don’t agree with the customer. What I am pointing out is only that the Mfg survey system is broken (not the survey sent from the dealership).
Placating a customer is inequal to the Mfg survey system being broken. My CSI scores are among the highest in the region.
Sure don’t.
One dealership I was with tried advertising with a single loaner. In 1 month we had more phone calls calling to complain about horrible driving than we did an uptick in sales traffic. It was determined to be a gigantic failure and that idea was scrapped. The shuttle vehicles are of course not so subtle.
Very, very accurate summary.
I can’t say I disagree with your distaste for the industry. It really needs a whole rework from top to bottom. I tried vehicle sales years ago because I liked cars and thought that mattered. I figured out real quick auto sales wasn’t for me. I wasn’t ok knowing people were buying more car than they could afford (or…
The only marking our loaners have is “Dealer” license plates because they roll from vehicle to vehicle as they are retired from service. This has been true of every dealership I’ve worked at. Of course they still have the dealer’s license plate frame - just as every vehicle sold has because the loan vehicle are part…
