My V8 Firebird had “ABS” advertised on the wheel’s center caps. In 1999. Of all the things to advertise, GM picked that? Seriously?

I don’t disagree with the list, just be prepared for potential expensive repairs on 7, 9, and 10. Between the WP being right above the Opticrap and the Opticrap living up to it’s name in general, they can be a real bear. I really don’t miss my LT1 powered car!

Exactly, that’s why I’m saying it’s a bad comparison. Just like you could be an 03 Cobra faster than a 2016 Camaro SS for the money. Using my particular Avy as comparison isn’t fair to the Sport Trac.

My exact Avalanche is much older than a 2010. It’s not really set up for corners, it a semi-tall Z71. It’s straight line performance is a completely different story. But...it’s so much older, than it’s not a fair comparison. It’s like saying I can make a 99 Camaro SS faster than a 2016 Mustang GT for similar money.

I own an Avalanche, and feel like I can get 150% of this vehicle’s performance & utility for ~75% of the price (assuming similar year models). CP for me, but I’m not a Ford guy.

You know the old saying, though. There are old pilots and there are bold pilots; but there are very few old, bold pilots.

Very good point regarding E10/E15 and water.

Nope. At least, for sure not on older models. Many, many airplanes are currently grounded because the cost of complying with an AD exceeds the value of the aircraft or the owner just doesn’t have that much liquid cash available.

That Future looks bleak.

Also, just an interesting aside: when an automotive manufacturer issues a recall, the manufacturer pays for it. When the FAA issues an airworthiness directive the aircraft owner pays for it AND the aircraft cannot fly until it has been complied with.

The idea of a flying car, while fantastic, raises a lot of questions. Especially questions about maintenance and repair.

AWESOME! This is how you know when you’ve “arrived”.

I do say, old boy, today looks like a wonderful day for some tea and crowds.

I’d also suggest checking your wiper blades every so often as well. They are often overlooked until they are needed.

Figured it out. These are probably the only two GM products in existence without a recall on them. If that isn’t it, then I’m baffled.

Many motorcycle have features like this (with aftermarket components). A+ in my opinion
