I remember playing a RPG, Breath of Fire 4 that lets you play as the final boss and wipe the floor of the party members you betray.

Shovel Knight isn’t as difficult as Mega Man, truuust me. It feels technical but exciting and a lot more fun and fair. It’s not a Dark Souls kind of experience.
I’ll give it a try. Also, FFXIV is my one MMO guilty pleasure. Nothing trash about you. I know this to be true as I have learned all there is to know about you in this back and forth we have done in the past few minutes. Here’s what I know so far. You have impeccable taste and are awesome.
I kept thinking about trying that, but I’m not huge on MMOs. I’m more suited to single player affairs. I do crave that vibe though. I’ve never really played a game that made me feel so “part of it” like Vampire did. I can’t figure out why other game companies can’t capture that feeling like Troika did.
I would love if someone would make a similar game with current gen graphics.
Legend has it that whenever you hear a bell ring, someone is reinstalling Vampire the Masquerade.
I know what you mean about Mega Man and how dated it feels, but Shovel Knight does not feel dated despite its graphics and the type of game it is. It controls really well, is paced well (in terms of difficulty/mechanics progression and plot, however little there is), and it’s challenging but not frustrating, cheap, or…
The question isn’t have I played Vampire: the Masquerade. It is when was the last time I played. I think I’ve burned through that game 7 or 8 times. Absolutely love it. :) :)
Shovel Knight does have upgrades you can buy for your character. I wouldn’t say it’s like Mario as much as it is like Mega Man or the Duck Tales game. Honestly it borrows heavily from many of the tropes of the 8 bit era, so I think it satisfies some of the “Metroid bone” as well.
I subscribed to EA origin on a whim and one of the bonuses (alongside Dragon Age Inquisition on my still fairly nice desktop) was Mass Effect on my pretty old laptop.
I think even if you just like Metroivanias (which describes me, as well), you will still love Shovel Knight. It’s one of the best games in years, period.
Shovel Knight is kind of a hybrid of Mario 3 and Mega Man with a pinch of Ducktales. It’s a lot of fun, and like the Lego games you only lose money rather than lives. This means the difficulty curve doesn’t get infuriating like Mega Man does. There’s not much exploration to speak of- hidden areas, certainly- but it’s…
The best part about having a backlog of old Bethesda games is that by the time you actually finish all of them, you’ll be able to afford a new computer!
And to think that FONV was being chided by everyone when published for being buggy.
Its a traditional and foreign name get used to it Trump jr.
Yeah, thats actually a traditional Irish name. But you are probably right, we probably need more kids named after the bible. Better to name your kids after something that has brainwashed and killed more people then anything ever rather then your heritage.
I love that it’s an ensemble cast and Butz isn’t necessarily The Protagonist. He’s important to the plot, but no more so than any of the others.
This. Every word. Also, I’m assuming Ivanka will still be running her own business while being First Lady since rules don’t matter anymore.
