I got it for free with an Xbone friend’s code and I *still* somehow feel ripped off.

The fact that it runs exactly the same on medium as it does on ultra shows how borked it is. I had to give up at the first shooting bit because it was so janky. Which is a shame because the intro really piqued my interest :(

The aesthetic and silly sounds reminds me a lot of NotGTAV. I want it.

I have absolutely loved going almost full-digital only on my 3DS because having everything there on the console is great, especially since I lose carts all the time, but I’m very aware that if I lose/break my 3DS it’s gonna be a massive pain to get them all back on another unit.

At least it used to be that way, I don’t

This is exactly how I feel about it. I love Ninty, I love their games, and I LOVE the DS/3DS. But their home consoles do not appeal to me anymore because as much as I love those first-party games, I’m not going to buy a dust collector that I only break out twice a year.

Being on PC I’m not wanting for things to play,

I know right? I don’t know what I expected but they’re really, really nice to look at.

I have to wonder if the artists behind them were going for that GTA look...Even the colours/filters are really similar in style.

I don’t even play tabletops and I want like, loads of these.

I think in this day and age people refer to 2 as 2 and so on.

I mean, maybe it’s because we didn’t get them in Europe back then anyway so 2 has always been 2, 4 has always been 4.

Especially now that you can get all of them in English in some form or another.

I think in animation it’s not too much of an annoyance, because there’s usually something else going on, scenes are quick, subtitles etc.

But in stills it’s so...gah x.x

Perspective is pretty hard to nail perfectly though.

Honestly, I’d fuck a rusty droid if they were as cool as Nick. He’s dreamy asf.

Actually, maybe they really should try that. Or at least talk about it. It can be reaaaaaaaally cathartic if you have a lot of stuff to worry about in life.

God, some people are just so miserable.

This guy is probably doing these for fun and to chill, and even if it is copying from photos they show an insane amount of skill to be able to recreate them so closely with just pencil.

As if those specs can handle decent 4k. Correct me if I’m wrong but I seriously doubt it could even run stuff at a stable 30fps at 4k.

So really, what’s the point of it? :/

Because Kratos would be kinda out of place in another setting. Maybe have a new Kratos-like hero start from the bottom and work their way up through a new pantheon.

I think the point with those guys is that they’re kinda...flat?

Mario doesn’t have any narrative behind him, not really, unless it’s the RPG ones and those Marios are kinda different. Link is a different person in most games and his character very rarely has any kind of development.

I think if we’re talking about Kratos

I don’t understand that complaint about everyone protecting the shopkeepers.

I don’t even have a way to use these things (only have a 3DS XL and iirc you need a peripheral to use them?) but oh my god I’ve been trying SO HARD not to buy me some for display. These display stands are making THE NEED SO REAL.

It’d be really nice if they could produce versions of Amiibos without the internal stuff

Man, MGS1's soundtrack was just amazing, wasn’t it?

I love all of the soundtracks but MGS1 was in a completely different league, IMO.

I have to make it clear to the people close to me that if ‘The Best Is Yet To Come’ isn’t played at my funeral I’m gonna personally come back to haunt them.

God, I really don’t know how to feel about this.

I was on the ‘give Sutherland a chance’ camp even though I LOVE Hayter, but even though I’m fond of his voice in 24/real life I found his BB wholly unmemorable.

But maybe that was because of the script and the fact he barely talked? I don’t know...his performance felt

How well-known is it in America? It’s one of the few things I actually watch on a proper TV channel rather than online (unless I have to miss it, then I use iplayer ASAP).

That’s an awesome anecdote, especially that you enjoyed it so much even though you couldn’t understand it at the time.

Have you played it since?
