Maybe I'm in the minority, but how is this a bad thing? If you want him standing in the pocket, taking hits and delivering powerful throws, then by all means, keep him eating. And I hate FSU/Jameis normally

"I think my daughter could win the Noble Peace Prize" - Coach Nick Saban, in 2010

What if the sideline boundaries weren't grass, painted white, but instead was a moat, with sharks in it...makes ya think IMO

More like you, and the refs, need a dose of common sense in the situation re: his body position + players underneath + a rim that isn't going to break. Sorry to upset you, Literal Larry

This game isn't played in a high school, it's played in OSU's arena. So in this specific instance, there is no real danger to him hanging on the rim.

Yeah, but the type of hoop is what's important. The game is at OSU's gym. OSU has the new, modern type of rims. These are in all NBA arenas, and in most big time college programs now. They're designed to not break from someone dunking, or to fall down, and the rims can support over 300 pounds hanging on them for 10+

You replied to yourself. And never post. You couldn't make yourself into a more stereotypical Dan Snyder troll if you tried.

I am like you; however, Ortiz is a different case. For years, the Boston media has gone out of its way to anoint Yankees as cheaters, etc, etc, Boston players can do no wrong. Meanwhile, the bulk of the 2004 championship team was on steroids and the team/fans/media refuse to acknowledge it...so it goes both ways.

Are they actually legal? I thought it was more UO's interpretation of FERPA that enabled them to access records. I could be wrong, but if it is the University's interpretation, that could definitely be thrown out in the court of law.

The further irony, is that to increase popularity of "the brand," schools want win -> try hard to recruit players -> team starts to do well -> morals out the door -> brand gets hurt, suddenly school is confused by how being great can also be bad

Couldn't have said it better myself

As much as it sucks, just squat/deadlift the bar (45 pounds) until you have the form down. The biggest thing you have to overcome in a gym (trust me, it took me awhile) is fearing how you may come off to others. Just don't care. Do this over and over again until you feel like you have it down, and then add some 5/10

Thank you for spelling it out like this. There is something to be said (as much as it sucks) for a team to hold the ball for 30 seconds, yet still run great plays at the end of the shot clock. Then, you look at a Pitt, where Jamie Dixon runs off-ball screens/curls on THE SAME SIDE that the ball is on, or Cincy who's

The double fist, high low (the first video) is a classic play, yet always effective. Syracuse used this to perfection for 3 years with CJ Fair at the 4. Either you get a wide open pop shot, a mismatch with the high picker, or an easy post feed. The Spurs use this play a lot as well. So effective, everyone uses it.

Yep, the irony to this, is that UO will essentially be sued by all sides now. It'll be sued by the rape victim, this employee for wrongful termination, and probably the government for Title IX violations

But, I'm pretty sure you see where I'm coming from by saying that those athletes don't make enough for the university to justify pay

You're in an idiot, because your "doomsday" hypothetical already exists. Why would Alabama, Oregon, etc., constantly be upgrading facilities every 5 years for 10+ figures? Why did Texas A&M massively expand its stadium after its/Manziel's (oh right it's not about the player) meteoric SEC rise? Because it doesn't have

He falls in the Pat Forde, Dan Wetzel, Pete Thamel trap of every game has a greater meaning, and that you can extrapolate an entire season's performance based off the outcome of one game. None of them can write a simple game story, it all has to have a further narrative

Grandpa, you okay? It's the NCAA Tournament, and he lost his cool. No one is injured, kid is paying a big price. If you can't handle that's enough, don't watch sports
