Nope. I’m all for believing the victims and giving even the most ridiculous stories the benefit of the doubt. However, if anyone takes advantage of that for their own gain, then you better believe we’re going to put them in the pillory and throw rotten fruit at them, because that cannot be allowed. 

The fact that you think “the demand for racism is exceeding the supply of racism” is a plausible statement is *exactly* why this is depressing.

There’s plenty of racism in the world: just because this one incident was phony doesn’t negate that fact.

According to an article in the Wash. Post by Gabrielle Bluestone - “Jane Buckingham, accused of paying someone to take the ACT for her son and then asking for a copy of the exam to administer to him at home so he would think he’d really taken the test.” I actually feel for this kid with a mother like that. 

Some of the kids did take the exam, and their parents had their test papers subbed or a different score sent back in another way. I dunno if that applies to this particular guy though.

These people are rich, but not RICH.  They can afford bribes but not buildings.  Should’ve spent more time with their kids maksing sure they didn’t turn into the fuck ups they are now which led to this.
