She’s easy to sell because she was raised to being a sainted feminist figure by a whole bunch of diverse women in the 70s and 80s. By the 00s, she was THE feminist artist to mention. She seemed brown, was a Commie, dressed funny and wasn’t annoyingly obviously Euro aristo like Tamara de Lempicka.

Nuance is a lost art when one is pushing a narrative born out of current events and wishing to tie them definitively to past ones, proferring “similarities” that are interesting but not necessarily conclusive.

I reject the entire premise of this “investigation”, that the fucking Razzies are about anything but a laugh and everyone knows it and gives zero fucks how choices are made as long as they conform to some amount of public opinion, that only manages insult fandoms that have no real power or interest in caring.

He was soooooo looking forward to the contractual obligations of days long junkets with funny har har local morning entertainment “journalists”.  And the round of late night shows where he gets to try and convince people how great this film is even as their social media pings with how “Serenity is crap” is trending…
