They used this song in a movie montage for 'movies playing this month on T.C.M' in July 2015. I think it's been mainstream for awhile.

I wonder if she's playing someone's mom. Every time I see her in a movie lately, she's playing someone's mom. I bet she's playing someone's mom.

It's driving me crazy that this is being completely ignored, so I'll just say it myself.

Hahaha, that's like the modern day equivalent of "Yoiks! And Away!"

Poor Plucky. One of the first times I ever felt really sorry for a cartoon character was in that story. I wanted him to get some water and enjoy Happy World Land so much.

That Batman parody with Plucky Duck on "Tiny Toon Adventures" was a thing of beauty. I just recently discovered that it was put together by guys who would go on to launch "Batman: The Animated Series", most notably Bruce Timm and Paul Dini. Their love for Batman and classic Looney Tunes shorts permeates through the

I don't like most of his John Wayne movies either, except "Stagecoach". My personal favourite Ford production is "The Whole Town's Talking", a wonderful, brilliant comedy starring Edward G. Robinson that I find more enjoyable than any of his serious 'prestige' pictures.

Inspiring applause from the audience, Henry Fonda said on 'The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson' that 'Mr. Roberts' was his favourite role. Such a sweet moment.

Thank you. Same here. When people discuss his movies, "Kill Bill, Vol. 2" is often brought up as one of the weakest and that always bums me out. I've been disappointed by everything he's done since.

He's got a bag of sand up there.

They DYED him that colour!

"Galaxy Quest" is more of an homage or 'loving tribute'. Hardly a mockery of "Star Trek", it was even voted as one of the best Star Trek movies (above several actual entries in the series!) by fans of that franchise…http://www.blastr.com/2013-8-12/ou…

Ah, yes, you're right. No wins in the '70s doesn't mean no nominations during that decade. Fixed.

I think it's interesting how the '70s were an absolute dead zone.
The heyday of exploitation pictures!

I think Denzel's 2001 win exemplifies that old pattern of the academy overlooking someone's best work from their prime, then giving them a consolation award later. Denzel should have won for "Malcolm X", but lost to Al Pacino, who should have won for "The Godfather", "Serpico" or any number of movies made in his prime

I think this cut actually proves that the Academy is getting better. You can see it go from around 20 years between wins to 2 or 3.

Now let's all buy make-up so the boys will like us and forget our troubles with a big bowl of strawberry ice cream!

I've only heard "Blowfly's Punk Rock Party" (2006), in which he did the best thing someone doing covers can do - rearrange something I originally didn't like into their own more palatable new version.

Thank you. I feel the same way and always cringe when people name it as one of the best episodes.

Also recording entertaining DVD audio commentaries since 2000!
