I've always associated McKean with comedy because of "This Is Spinal Tap", "Dream On", and his smug, lecherous, whimsically funny character on "The X-Files".

Yeah, that cowardly fleeing was such a great moment. It's a pretty obvious and predictable joke, but I don't care. Biggest laugh I've had since I started watching this show.

You are so cruel. Don't be such a Chuck. =)

I was hoping for him too. Nice to know I'm not the only huge fan of the character doing such wishful thinking.

I loved Trebek's sense of humour about it. Especially him going for a handshake at Brad's spot (like the guy was invisible), before "realizing his mistake" and moving over to shake hands with Kristin.

I love that "Groundhog Day" episode. I think it's at least as good as the similar TNG, Buffy, and X-Files episodes. Poor Joxer.

I liked how it was such an obvious plug for her new album. And she wore an adorable cat costume.

One of my favourite little moments in this series is when Bart and Milhouse are spying on Bob and Cecil. Bob cheerfully calls out, "HELLO, BART!"

I care. I loved "Adaptation." so much that I was actually disappointed by "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" as a follow-up. Not that I think it's bad. To be fair, I probably would have been disappointed by anything he wrote coming off "Adaptation." And I was a little annoyed that "Eternal Sunshine of the

I recall fans being pissed at the time that Flash had been really underutilized in this season. There would be consecutive episodes without him, or he'd show up, but have no lines. It wasn't intentional…the producers just had too many other characters they wanted to feature and could only have a limited number of

All right, I'll admit you've exposed my faulty memory. That episode was way too over-the-top for my tastes, so I've only seen it once and don't remember it very well. Glad you liked it.

True, but not quite like in this episode. Do any of those seem to become a campy music video set to foreign music at the end? =P

It took me awhile to figure out that the guy's name is actually "Wayne" and "Wayne-O" is just a cute name Burt calls him. =) Such a fun episode. Not just my favourite of season 9, but one of my favourites of the series. In a way, it's like that DS9 episode "His Way". Totally self-indulgent on the part of the

I always liked Kahn's performance in "Blazing Saddles", but since becoming a fan of Marlene Dietrich I love it even more, because now I know just how DEAD-ON her impression was. Kahn sounds so much like her, except she says words like "Goddammit", which makes it even better and funnier.

I watched this again recently and one of the things that amazed me most was the Gene Hackman scene. Robert Osborne was talking about "Bride of Frankenstein" on T.C.M. and saying he can't take the hermit scene seriously anymore because of "Young Frankenstein".

I don't know if it's true, but I've heard the original comment quoted as:

Thanks, Ashley. I'll check those out.

For some reason, my first thought was Scooter.

Can anyone recommend some fan favourite episodes? I'm looking to sample this series without watching the whole thing and I'd like advice from people who have seen a lot of (or all of) the show and can identify standout episodes.

"His Way" was a really self-indulgent and corny lark by writer/producer Ira Steven Behr, inspired by his love of Vegas jazz/lounge music and The Rat Pack. It's similar to "QPid", which was totally just him getting a chance to graft an homage to pop culture he loves onto Star Trek (TNG's producers were able to lure him
