It has a very cool look, and is an interesting twist on the traditional camera. My only issue is that it doesn't look very... ergonomic. Unless I were sitting down, I'd rather hold a traditional camera than this.

Traditional prisons really are vastly inefficient, at least in the States - and, I think more importantly, are vastly ineffective, with high recidivism rates. This sounds like it could kill two birds with one stone, too, both reducing the incarceration rate of nonviolent criminals (like, say, pot smokers) and allowing

Yeah, I never understood why there was wrestling on Syfy, especially back in the Sci-Fi days. Now I get my sci-fi fix from BBC America and more or less ignore Syfy entirely. I don't want to knock Eureka and Warehouse 13, of course, because people tell me they're good, but neither was able to hold my attention for more

Apple? Functional? I think it's safe to say they'll be using this stuff to make things really, really pretty. But that's it.

While a nightmare scenario, the 'certain people choosing between sex and immortality' thing seems like a brilliant idea for an SF story. Has anything similar been done before?

@franco1975 [Troll ]: Enough for it to matter, clearly. The UAE's been making kind of a big deal of this for a while.

Is the message 'Buy our condoms and this will happen'? Because I'm pretty much on board for that.

I'd be mildly worried about the lack of angle adjustment. Past that, it looks great. Delightfully minimal, and (as you can see in the picture) it complements Apple's computer peripherals well.

@corpore-metal: Oh, it's definitely not just you. I kept impulsively scrolling away while reading the bottom part of the article.

@Zinger314: ...So you can look like a punk? Some people are into that. Unfortunately, the price point on the Crossfade LP is going to take away all the desirability for that demographic.

@Maave: But to go against the wishes of Glorious Leader Kim Jong Il would just feel so... wrong.

Please, please, please have local multiplayer. I know that's kind of an odd request, given that it's not a functionality many developers build in anymore, but SOCOMs 3 and Combined Assault (the ones I have experience with) would have been incredibly fun to play with another person, sitting on a couch.

That's absolutely insane. After this and after the Nevada-tan incident a few years back... it makes you wonder if there's some major cultural influence on the outcome of 'cyber-bullying', or if the next Jessi Slaughter could easily end up living up to the original's name.

@junior ghoul: I think he meant specifically where railroads were concerned. Railroads, and trains that run on them and do things to them.

Is it smart grid-enabled? I strongly disliked that charge station concept GE came up with (mostly for the design), but the smart grid readiness seemed like a good feature.

Sometimes I feel like I'm playing StarCraft when building Lego sets. 'You require more of those little 1x2 grates.'

@vinod1978: You make a very good point. As long as they're simply expressing a distaste for BlackBerry devices and don't do something ridiculous - say, place legal restrictions on their use - then I can understand and sympathize with their position.

@shooga: ...Hence the 'hyuck hyuck'. I can't stand Youtube's compression.
