Behold - the Magic Glove, only for use with iPreCrime.

That's an actual thing that they're actually saying is a reason to not like BlackBerries? 'We can't spy on our own citizens well enough'? Just... wow. They are a class act.

This scares me.

This is very, very cool, although you're right - I don't know how long it'll stick around.

You make a very good point about the benefits of faster development cycles. I think what they should look to avoid isn't underpolished games, but saturating the market with Capcom titles.

Hey, where's the Youtube video of this thing in operation?

@pixelsnader: Well, they didn't make their own biofuel, and had trouble finding enough because nobody produces it. Nobody produces it, of course, because there's scant demand... demonstrations like these are intended to build interest in using biofuel, and at that point more people will be interested in making it.

A 3.5-day orbit is absolutely burning some cosmic rubber. I know planets, especially gas giants, can sustain some extreme speeds - Jupiter rotates on its axis once every ten hours - but I wonder if that planet's orbit is stable in the long term.

@talkingstove: Also, this image opens up the possibility of drinking while texting while driving. IN AUGMENTED REALITY. Truly, we are living in the future.

@talkingstove: But shouldn't the UI be doing something to augment the reality? Take transparent OLED screens, for instance. Even if you slap that on a laptop with a rich UI, it's just a transparent screen until you actually activate an augmented-reality function.

@no computers in texas: TAY1 was a lot better than you're giving it credit for. It was a real pioneer in the multiplayer sandbox text-based genre. TAY2 offered few improvements besides smoother controls and a graphics boost.

So the scientists thought this acted sort of like a centipede, then turned it into a tiny robot that it turns out can hold 7 times its own weight and, when finished, will likely be able to be mass-produced using slightly modified existing technology.

@skt.smth: I absolutely agree. And there's no standardization either - updating of the various denominations has been haphazard, and the 'look' of american currency is very inconsistent.

@RickaMayCry: Absolutely. And signature moves would add a whole new dimension to cosplay.

I think they could probably use something more to show the Street Fighter connection, but otherwise I'm quite happy with them. The way the designers use materials to evoke the character rather than superfluous design elements is quite refreshing.

The wording in the title is unfortunate. I came in here expecting an article about people battling each other in costume (which I think some event organizer should get on right now, since apparently that still doesn't happen).

I don't think EL wire would hold the weight of a person. Maybe if you wove it, but then you'd have disco plaid. Nobody wants that.
