I guess that makes sense. I always thought people would want you at the wedding whether they want a gift or not but perhaps if they are big weddings then they are just being polite inviting people and can't afford that. It's probably easier just not to go unless they're very close friends/family.

I don't know anybody who's gotten married since I"m fairly young and the part of my family here in the UK is quite small. That sounds quite expensive! (Lots of people older than me are saying at a certain age you seem to be invited to a ton of weddings). This sounds like it would create financial stress.

I've never been to a wedding because I'm 24 and know mainly people my age and people a generation above (where I live most people my age aren't married and most people the generation above already are). I'm sure weddings are usually nice but I only hear the bad stuff! Stuff like this, stuff on TV (all the stressing

Yes, plus he's insulting all gay couples' marriages not just these women. This was over text? Even if he'd SAID it it'd be pretty unacceptable but even fast texters take longer to write a text than to say a word, and texts are editable before you hit send. He shouldn't have gone there. I'm glad he apologised but it

I just googled 'cursive writing' because in the UK where I live we just say 'joined-up' and it's so interesting that people here seem to see it as so different from non-joined up writing. I can remember one time when the topic came up when I was in yr 2 Infants School (6 yrs old) and I wrote a loopy 'g' and was told I

Ahaha, great. :)

A woman randomly started talking to me about Diana when I was in Santa Barbara. Didn't know what to say. :S She seemed quite unusual though.

Imagine Me and You? Sort of?

Is the one on the left from the Narnia films?

oopsie, double post

I think there was an SNL thing where she (and I think someone else) said something about Caster Semenya which wasn't really okay (in my books and in some other peoples'), which is a shame because otherwise, yeah. I've only recently discovered Parks and Amy (live in UK) which is why sadly I can't watch this video.

I love J! And also Jay. :)

I'm not disagreeing with you because I don't really know much about HK but I knew quite a few people from HK who came over to the UK for Uni and they all had American accents. I always thought US English was the common thing to be taught there (at least recently) despite it formerly being a British colony! But only

Yes, and I do it with video games even more. Just stop somewhere near the end for no reason. :|

Nigel Thornberry <3

xD

Yeah, both men and women who don't fit their gender norms are often looked down on for it. Making fun of women for being too butch isn't much different, it isn't a compliment secretly because they're calling her strong.
