I’m guessing you’re either a child, or have lived a privileged life. Out in the wild, someone’s finances can easily change between now and like a year ago when they bought the game and the season passes.

There have been many deals where Destiny was bundled with the console, and there are countless possible scenarios that would explain why someone had $400 to spend on games a year or two ago but don’t have $40 to do so with now. Your logic is flawed, to put it mildly.

What if said someone JUST bought the $400 console and $60 game, only to find out that they need to dish even more cash out to properly enjoy it?

Your life might be pretty vanilla but some people have unexpected changes to their lives and incomes.
